Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

It feels like I only go backwards

No matter how many times Ludo rode in the back of a limousine, it was still awkward. He managed to make small brief talk with Vitani as they made their way to her estate. He wasn't particularly fond of having another listening in on a one-on-one conversation, even if the driver couldn't help it. Pulling up he immediately got the sense of how much money Vitani was used to living on. It had always fascinated him what the richer would spend their wealth on. Most of the time it was houses. His mind childishly rambled on about how he couldn't imagine having to clean such a space, or how much of an echo would resonate throughout the house. Such menial things that those who lived in places like Vitani's could care less about. As the automobile smoothly halts, they wander from the comfy heated seats into the foyer where he compliments her house. "As if she doesn't already know that." Ludo thought sarcastically to himself, thinking he was a dunce for making such an obvious statement. His request was met for a tour around her mansion as she strolls towards the stairs.

There was a preciseness in the way she swung her full hips as she ascended the stairway. It was hypnotic to watch as they reached the dining room. Shifting his focus immediately elsewhere out of an awkward gaze towards Vitani's...womanly features, there hung above the two a statement light fixture dangling over their heads. "Well, that surely is a statement piece, eh?" Ludo gawked as he raised his head to the ceiling, admiring the showering lights that slightly wiggled from the heat that blew through the house. For Vitani, he surely assumed that this was not as astonishing as what she considered "eye-catching" to be. After all, she did refer to the mansion they stood in to be a modest home. There were many times he remembered accompanying his father to Italian banquets or strictly business meetings where he had learned how to appear as though he led such a lavish lifestyle as well. It was all too much to keep up with. The aristocratic bunch were just a plethora of wealthy figures who took much joy out of sucking the poverty-stricken people dry. There was a moment of wonder, as to whether his father decided to continue down the generational lineage of talented dark hunters because of the paycheck it provided, and nothing more. Ludo wasn't even sure he could state that he was one for honor and a noble cause. Perhaps, to him as well, it was just a paycheck after all.

Notably, everything in her house seemed to match perfectly. It was as if she had skimmed through a magazine, saw a layout she liked, pointed to it, and there it was right before her own eyes. Throughout the examination of her place, there was an eerie lingering feeling he got the more further they waltzed through the place. It was like not a soul lived there. Usually there were certain smells that would register in the nostrils when entering a home that you could later recall back to the place that was visited. Not this one. There was no odor other than cleaning products. It was stark white, sterile, and lacked character, or true character for the matter. "Was it because this was a temporary home for her?" Ludo speculated, his stride coming to a halt as he watched her carefully lean over in front of him. It was as if she strategically placed herself right in his view as he saw a bit of the sweater dress that hugged her ever so tightly, lift in a teasing fashion when she reached down to grab something. To his surprise, what she reached down for was an amber liquid which the bottle it was laying dormant in, gave the appearance to be more expensive than his car. Pouring them both a modest amount of alcohol, he watched her strut towards him confidently, inches away from him as she reaches out the crystal glass to him. "Wonderful. Grazie (Thank you)." He motioned his glass to clink against hers as he took one step closer towards her now centimeters away from one another. "I'm curious to see how this will taste," whiskey slides down his throat in a light sip as he admires the sundry elements composed of fragrant florals and molasses tones. Nodding his head in approval, his gaze follows her body as she makes her way towards the open sliding glass door, still gripping the whiskey bottle. Accompanying Vitani out to the unsurprising stark white leather couch that had a three-hundred-and-sixty-degree view of the dazzling city lights, he notices she sets the bottle aside as she retreats to relax on the couch. It isn't long before her bright green eyes and delicate hand beckon Ludo to join her.

"I frutti proibiti sono I più dolci (Forbidden fruit is the sweetest)," the phrase seemed fitting for the event that was taking place between the two. In the depth of his mind he knew she was out of his usual grasps and he desired her even more because of it. Vitani was two steps ahead of him as he sauntered slowly, and naïvely behind. Intoxicated by the sultry woman before him he feverishly strode towards her. Sitting close enough to where there was a lack of space between the two, he turned his body inward as he leaned closer to her. "What do you think of this little place?" Vitani spoke with curiosity ringing in her voice. "It is different from what I'm used to. You most likely could draw that conclusion yourself though," he baited with a self-assured smile. "It is lovely," his warm lyrics trailed off, "I suppose it would get lonely in a house this big by yourself," he pondered aloud. Rubbing his stubble that rested upon his chin he exclaimed, "You don't seem like the type for that to matter though. You seem very independent."

In this moment he couldn't help but feel something move up his leg twisting itself about. Glancing down in a rather calm manner, he saw a pure scaly white reptilian staring right back at him. "Hmm, I didn't get the vibe you were an animal person," he chuckled, casually grabbing the neck and tail of the snake as he strategically untangled it from him. "I have to ask, why a snake?" he poked at her, surprised by her choice of pets. There was more to this woman than she first led on. He convinced himself that was the same for anyone though. He would be a hypocrite if he thought otherwise. He watches the easy-going snake slither about the patio curling into a circle by the fire for warmth. There was a weird endearment towards the snake that was developing in him. He admired how careless it was and wished he could be the same. Shifting himself into a more relaxed position, his arm now stretching across Vitani's shoulder length, he glanced towards the sky. "Look at all of those stars," his mouth gaped open as he pointed to the little dipper. "Just beautiful, isn't it?" There was a cold chill that swept across his face as they glanced above them at the twinkling stars.
