Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

It would seem that no matter how many times he had been told, no matter what assurances he had been given- Dorian still had not truly anticipated the sheer amount of his own pwople whom might spread from the gates off his palace and into the streets beyond near further then the eye could see. All in some hope of capturing but a glimpse of himself and his new husband. He was used to crowds in every sense. Indeed he had grown up with a certain measure off indifference to them and yet he could not remember a wedding, royal or otherwise, that had attracted such a sheer number of well-wishers in any sense. That view from the balcony so displaying the magnitude of that event far more clearly then what he had been able to discern from the chruch alone or even those people-strewn steets. Perhaps Sebastian had been entierly correct when he suggested all of Italy was surely here. Dorian, in that moment, quite assured he rather believed it. Those people a veritable sea that stretched on and on in each direction. The Monarch vaugely considering how far those police and Hunter lines stretched and yet- even he could see those beings whom had climbed into trees or onto rooftops to afford themselves an uninterrupted view safe from police barricades or the Hunter's horses. It was overwhelming, to say the least and yet, Dorian could so hardly prevent that simper that found his lips all the same. The atmosphere was alive, his own delight in this very day only furthered by that jovial crowd and his assurance that their wedding had been perfect. Those months of planning so having paid off to afford them that glorious ceremony and yet- he remained wholly aware of still another duty to be performed. That crowd, after all, had so come to witness that singular kiss. That playful roll of Sebastian's eyes in assurance he was ready prompting that chuckle form his own lips as he led that wedding party onto that stage of sorts.

Dorian was aware, distinctly so, that while this day had surely been about Sebastian and himself and the very love they shared that, some part of it, would remain a decidedly political event in every sense. After all, in all the history of the world their had never been an openly same-sex royal couple. Within his own time, that acknowledgement of any feelings of intimacy for another man were punishable by death itself. How far the world had come. So much so that he stood before the very world so prepared to kiss the man he had married before them. That in itself an act of nothing save that love he felt for his his husband even if he knew, decidedly so, that such photos would surely appear within those publications that did not support their marriage in turn. Here and now however, the Monarch saw little need to tarnish such a moment with any such thoughts. His simple happiness in this day so resulting in that feeling of warmth that seemed to near dance within his chest as he waved to those people below before at last turning to Sebastian. His husband offered that ready grin before Dorian so lent upward to press his lips to the vampires own in that polite, chaste kiss. The very sort the world was desperate to see. Those applause near thunderous in response before the Fae King lent gently away with that soft utterance that he was rather sure the crowd had liked it. Dorian so hardly having anticipated Sebastian's equally soft response that he himself had rather enjoyed it too. Dorian's own gaze rolling in that gentle playfulness then- even if he could hardly deny he so desired by a thousand of those kisses. How difficult it was to have but one! That crowd was afforded several more waves and those tv cameras given several more moments to capture that footage before that wedding party begun to return to the palace. Sebastian and Dorian the last to follow that entourage inside.

Any such hope of a moment alone with his husband however was altogether forgotten in the wake of the appearance of that official photographer and those photos to be had. Dorian so finding himself unwilling to complain in any real sense all the same. His mood far to good for any such thing. After all, he intended to admire the very photos of this day for years to come. The Monarch assured he would never be married again and such these images, of his one and only wedding day, would surely be something to treasure. Dorian finding he was equally as keen to see those photographs taken in the church itself by the little black-haired Fae girl whose candid shots they both favoured. Dorian having assured she would be present for every moment of today. Her ability to capture those fleeting moments one he favoured distinctly. His hand reached once more for his lovers own then. Dorian willingly allowing himself to be directed about the palace and indeed into the gardens in turn for all manner of different shots of Sebastian and himself, that wedding party, the pair with that wedding party, those individual images of each of them and everything in between.

Even for all his delight in such moments so captured for them alone the Monarch readily found himself near breathing that sigh of relief as they were but finally directed to that spare waiting room to be given those few moments to compose themselves and remove those official articles of clothing and accessories. That door finally shut behind Benito affording them that peace and quiet at last. Even if only for but a few minutes. Dorian's own hands reached upward to unfasten that royal cloak and lay it out upon that couch to be collected by the staff. He quite adored that plush fabric and the warmth it provided and yet- he could so hardly deny that it was a rather heavy article of clothing and one that so required the assistance of others to permit his movability in any sense. His shoulders near gloriously lighter in the interim. That fine sword was removed next, along with that gilded crown to be laid carefully upon the table. Such ceremonial items sure to be stored away until they might next be needed. That royal ring alone remaining upon his right hand before he so finally turned to Sebastian then, his silver gaze lingering upon the vampire as he removed his own sword and crown. The mans name uttered softly upon his lips.

It was a terribly easy thing to cross that small space between them. His arms readily thrown around his lovers neck then in that affectionate gesture he had been longing to afford the man for some hours now. His lips eagerly found Sebastian's own then, nothing about this kiss decidedly chaste in any fashion. That soft brush of Sebastian's tongue across his lip readily seeing the Monarchs own part to afford the man that truly intimate sort of kiss he adored. How long he had waited to kiss him properly! Dorian utterly relishing in that gesture Sebastian all-too eagerly returned. The Fae King equally as unwilling to allow that kiss to end before so finally leaning away with that utterance of just how perfect Sebastian had looked today at that alter and indeed, still did in this moment. Dorian hardly having considered his own pause upon that aisle had momentarily given his lover that cause for concern. That warm simper upon his lips still as his head softly shook.

"There is nothing about this a regret, Mon Cher."

That second, stolen kiss was entirely welcomed. Dorian wholly craving that closeness then. That simple desire to be with Sebastian in every sense of that word almost overwhelming in that moment. How he longed to forget that party and focus but every ounce of his attention on Sebastian alone! How he craved that skin on skin and the silken sheets of their bed and so having that chance to make that marriage entirely official in every sense. Dorian unable to suppress that soft groan at Sebastian's suggestion that surely they could throw them a party without their attendance.

"I have been contemplating the same thing for the past hour in the very least."

He offered softly, only to be met with those three decidedly perfect words of want that prompted yet another stolen kiss that so surely displayed his own wants in this. Dorian relishing in that taste of his lips and that singular desire. God, but did he have any idea how tempting such words were! The Monarch's gaze so briefly flicking to that door as his lent softly away from his companion in that consideration of just how long they might be left alone for even if he knew, so undoubtedly, they would hardly have enough time for those things he desired. His silver gaze so meeting the blue of Sebastian's own once more, his arms still draped about the man's neck.

"Do you know, I think that is why they put us in here instead of our bedroom? I quite think they suspected that if they tempted us with a bed we may never have left. Clearly they are unfamiliar with our work on tables, sofas, walls and floors."

That almost impish grin so found his lips once more. That warm chuckle parting them then before that soft, near regretful sigh left the man. His forehead resting gently against Sebastian's own then in that simple, easy affection.
"Tonight, Mon Cher."

He uttered softly, those words the same promise Sebastian had afforded him this very evening when they had still laid in bed beside one another as fiances rather than husbands. It was with no small measure of reluctance that he so finally lent away from the vampire, least either of them find that closeness far to much temptation. Dorian's lips parting once more before the sound of something readily saw the man start in surprise. His silver eyes widening readily as he glanced back towards Sebastian then.

"What in heaven's name was that?"

It sounds almost like...wailing, though hardly from a person in any sense. That sound abruptly cut off before actual notes of music seemed to find those halls. Arlo, it seemed, had found his guitar. Dorian still largely unaware of just how that instrument could sound when instructed to play those more...excitable notes. That near baffled look upon his features remaining before his head simply shook. Their guests, in the very least, were surely enjoying that party.

"I suppose we ought to make an appearance out our own reception. I do fancy some cake."

That grin found his lips once more as Dorian moved to open that door and lead the way into that marble hall. That reception situated in the largest of those grand ballrooms even despite that far smaller number of guests. That wedding of well over fifteen hundred reduced to a hundred or so more select guests for that after-party. The vast majority of those in attendance now their own friends and family, other monarchs, their staff and members of parliament along with a handful of Sebastian's long-time work colleagues. Such beings, for the most part, the very beings Dorian so desired to celebrate his wedding with. After all, he knew the vast majority of these people. Those large double doors were already open to admit them, that ballroom gloriously decorated from top to toe, those guests seated at the white and gold tables that were arranged about the room with Matteo, Charles, Giles and Alexander already seat at that long table at the head of the room- those two vacant seats surely for Sebastian and himself and yet, for a moment, Dorian was merely content to admire that room. How glorious it looked with its flowers and lights, those surrounding tables holding a truly lavish selection of horderves and sweet treats to be enjoyed in between those courses. A rather spectacular ice sculpture of a griffin and a lion taking that center place and yet- the Monarch rather suspected that chocolate fountain beside it might well have captured his lovers attention more. That round of applause echoing within that space as their entrance was so finally noticed. Dorian's head nodded graciously as he stepped forward to making those greetings to those he had not gotten the chance to speak with at the church.
