Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Sebastian Ellington-Aragona
His Royal Highness, Prince of Italy
For all the joy that the day brought him, for all that bliss he found in finally marrying the man he so loved, and though Sebastian would change absolutely nothing about that evening, he found himself relieved to be guided into the silence of that waiting room. The sheer presence of all those people, the noise they made, the sound of their bodies, all of it was near overwhelmingly pressing upon his senses, even despite the man's insistence to remain in rather high spirits. His eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly as Sebastian fiddled with the strap that secured that new ceremonial sword to his belt. He was going to have to become accustomed to the weight of it against his thigh all over again. It was with decided care that he placed that sheathed sword down upon the sofa. His hands lifted to slowly pluck that crown from off the top of his head only to eye that new crown cradled within his grasp with a measure of curiosity. It was the first time Sebastian had actually seen that symbol of his new position as Prince. It was clearly a work of Dorian's own hand, the intricate designs and perfectly placed gemstones were very much his lover's style. He found it endearing, really, the clear care that Dorian had put into every detail of those accessories for him alone. His gaze slowly shifted to that new ring upon his finger in thought as he placed that crown on the sofa.
Any further thoughts he might have held of those royal artifacts, however, were interrupted by a singular sound that Sebastian near treasured in hearing - his own name upon Dorian's lips. A warm simper crossed the vampire's features as he turned with a soft sound of inquiry. The fae Monarch closed that distance between them far faster then he had anticipated and yet, Sebastian all too easily embraced his lover's form, drawing him ever closer still before his lips met Dorian's own. That kiss they shared behind those closed doors was hardly the sweet chaste kind they had been inclined to restrain themselves to in the public's eye. Quite on the contrary, Sebastian was ever so keen to deepen that kiss, his tongue ever so impishly brushing against Dorian's own in that teasing way he knew well Dorian happened to enjoy. His grip tightened around the King at that moment, and yet, he was altogether content to relish in that simple show of affection, one that only prompted desires for more within him.
Eventually, however, Dorian leaned away from him only to comment on how utterly perfect that wedding ceremony had been. Sebastian could hardly help that simper upon his features, even as he admitted the way Dorian had so made him worry by that unexpected pause. That gentle reassurance that Dorian hardly regretted anything of the day so far was all the Englishman required, his own head bobbed in return. "Good." He uttered softly, only to lean forward to steal a second and far more fleeting kiss from the King. How those very emotions of love that so filled the man coaxed to life a simple desire to show his lover that affection in a far more physical sense. Though he knew that reception was largely the event most looked forward to for any wedding, Sebastian found himself wishing he could skip such an event altogether. It was a fact he was entirely content to complain of as he inquired whether or not such a party might be able to go on without the presence at all! How tempting it was to merely steal the King away for the rest of the evening, even though he knew well that the upcoming month would be entirely dedicated to their own honeymoon and the many places they would surely travel away from the prying eyes of the world.
That soft groan from Dorian's lips only served to bring a small chuckle to his own as his husband admitted that even he had considered that very thing. It was decidedly awful, those words upon his lips. To so tempt the man in such a fashion and yet, that want that Sebastian had for Dorian was every bit as real. That kiss he was offered in return to such an admission spoke quite clearly of Dorian's own thoughts on the matter and yet, even he knew well that his desires would surely be denied. His impossibly bright blue eyes followed the silver hue of Dorian's own towards that door and yet Sebastian was well aware that any attempt to fulfill their physical needs would be met only with interruption. His gaze slowly turned back towards the King as Dorian suggested that such wants were surely why they had been directed here in the first place. He could hardly help the snort that left his nose before the vampire rolled his eyes. "And to think, you once thought such a thing impossible," Sebastian commented with a clear hint of amusement. Oh how he still remembered one of those first evenings together when the sheer suggestion of such intimate activities taking place anywhere beyond a bed had resulted in raised brows from the King. How far the man had come since then!
That gentle brush of Dorian's forehead against his own drew his attention back to the man, the vampire unable to help that soft sigh in return. "I know, I know." He muttered with a hint of discontent. It was difficult, to let Dorian leave his arms and yet, slowly, he allowed the King to step away from him. That simple moment of peace and tranquility hardly lasted long, however, before a piercing sound filled those hallways, one that Sebastian recognized with decided ease. "Electric guitar. It sounds like Arlo is ready." He commented with a small shrug at that inquiry. As if on cue, those that far gentler notes of the melody of one of the songs they'd chosen filled the air but a moment's later, accompanied with a sweet soprano voice. That makeshift band certainly seemed underway, the vampire himself had agreed to accompany them for one song if only to fulfill his friends desires to know what a 'band' of sorts might truly sound like. That mention of cake quickly grabbed the vampire's attention, his own eyes brightening at the idea. Although Dorian's designated cake was nothing short of spectacular in those multi-tiers of stark white icing, his own far less grand cake was the very epitome of a chocolate lover's dream. "I could do with some cake." He commented on the thought of that deliciousness.
Sebastian followed his husband out of that room and down that hallway into that marble hall. The ballroom, though nothing short of amazing on its own, was only further decorated for the occasion. His gaze swept over the much smaller gathering, many of those faces well known to him from his own business to those few friends the vampire kept. That large ice statue near demanded the vampire's own attention, those animals a symbol of their combined houses and yet, even Sebastian was hardly immune to that free-flowing chocolate fountain, prompting a grin on his features. That sudden applause that filled the room at as the crowd acknowledged their presence regrettably drew his attention from those delicious treats and towards the very people he was supposed to be spending time with. Many of Dorian's own associates, after all, were all but foreign to him. Even so, he presented the crowd with a warm simper, trailing behind his lover and towards those very people that so awaited them.
