Sacrosanct contains four distinct neighborhoods, each with their own specific kind of houses and residents. Explore our districts, view lists of our citizens and enjoy our block parties!
Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
he was both everything you could ever want
and nothing you could ever have
Although the Englishman had become a citizen of Italy through his marriage and that role he'd taken up as the Italian Prince, his heart would always belong to England. Sebastian had a certain sort of pride over his homeland, even if he so rarely outwardly displayed it. Rather it was evident in the fondness he so spoke of that country, even despite all of the less than favorable memories it held of events he often preferred to forget. It would still always be his home, regardless of where they traveled or where they loved. He would take every chance he could to return there and, in turn, Sebastian delighted in sharing every facet of the land he loved with the only man he loved. Dorian's own admittance to relishing in visiting that English city only to enjoy that week-long festivity in what was now a retirement center brought a simper to the vampire's features as he rejoined the fae Monarch on that feather soft mattress.
Though Sacrosanct was there home, for now, their little family unit might be required to do some traveling to fulfill those responsibilities that surely needed to be tended to. Perhaps, they might be capable of taking Maxwell and Charles with them, next time. It was an idea certainly to be considered, though, at a later point in time. As it was, Dorian's own impatience for those gifts quite near demanded the man's attention in the present moment. The first box was handed over with ease, the cardboard shipping box opened to reveal that far nicer ebony box, the brand name printed in gold surely gave away the expense of that very gift. he watched as Dorian gently opened the lid, that soft gasp surely gave away his initial thoughts of what rested within that box. That golden bracelet, though plucked from the velveteen interior, was hardly a mere ornament. Quite on the contrary, the very campaign Cartier so sought to run with that piece of gold and diamonds was the very concept of eternity. Dorian seemed all too quick to pick up on exactly why that motto had been printed inside the lid, much less Sebastian's own draw to the object with that brief explanation of what made it special. That inquiry on how it worked was all that was necessary for the vampire to set about finding the necessary tools to secure it around his lover's wrist - right where it belonged forever, just like them.
He hardly anticipated the King's announcement that he wished to show the piece of jewelry to his father and yet, it pleased Sebastian that such a gift was noteworthy enough to share. At the very least, Matteo could not deny that Sebastian loved his son enough to dote every ounce of wealth upon the man. Still, the notion that the Frenchman hadn't messaged his son in over a week was distinctly peculiar. Ever since that wedding, the elder fae had taken into checking with Dorian far more than Sebastian was certain he had before it, as if something had occurred at their wedding to push Dorian and his father closer together. He hardly asked after, it, however, instead merely viewing this unexpected shift in their relationship to be nothing short of glorious. It was, surely, his own lack of a living father that so continually prompted him to encourage that bond between his lover and his newfound father-in-law. They, he was sure, deserved that chance to finally have that connection that both had unknowingly desired for so very long. That suggestion that left his lips was altogether soft and yet, he was certain that Matteo would surely be delighted in any effort the fae King made to continue that forward momentum. His bright blue eyes remained focused upon Dorian before the man slowly nodded in agreement.
That simple suggestion that Matteo might have a guest he detested if only to subject them to his company for a week prompted a soft chuckle from Sebastian's lips. He could hardly deny that the idea seemed particularly painful, even to him. To be alone with his father-in-law for a week sounded nothing short of torturous. Matteo had a way about him of knowing exactly what to say to disturb the usually unflappable Englishman, prompting all sorts of worries he was often inclined not to even consider at all!
That very evening had been nothing short of glorious from that concert Dorian had taken him to, those declarations of love, and too that very night they had spent within each other's arms with that blue and green paint so slathered across Sebastian's chest. It had taken a fair amount of oil to remove that paint from his hair and yet, Sebastian had been certain that it had been worth it enough to repeat - with a far more sensible goal in mind. That chaste fashion in which Dorian so worded exactly what that gift was, however, prompted that laughter once again from his lips as his head bobbed in ready confirmation of that explanation. His lips pressed eagerly against Dorian's own, that kiss far too brief for his liking before the King's excitement over that very gift returned. Sebastian was altogether amused as Dorian pieced together his rather vague hint.
Slowly, Sebastian's head shook ever so slightly. Though Sebastian had once toyed with the very idea of taking the fae King beneath the moonlight, or in one of those very public places with the risk of being found, he had never once considered that fantasy under the light of the sun.
