Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

if these wings could fly for the rest of our lives
Romance, in all its forms, was nothing short of enchanting to the often enthusiastic young girl. Even she had not been immune to the charm and wonder of those fanciful animated characters finding their prince, gaining their crowns, and professing their love only to be blessed with that sweet kiss stamped with the wondrous title of 'True Love'. She had daydreamed of that first tender kiss, of finding her own prince and her own sort of happily ever after and yet, she had never imagined that she might find it so...abruptly. Even Abigail had hardly been prepared as Arlo's lips gingerly pressed against hers, the man's arms embraced her petite form in a fashion that still managed to feel right, even if it had caught her off guard. Truthfully, she hadn't been sure what to expect that moment she had uttered 'yes' to his question of dating. Even so, Abigail found herself melting into his embrace, and in turn, into that chaste kiss. That simple action, however, prompted a flurry of butterflies within her chest. Abigail was entirely certain even Arlo was capable of feeling the thrum of her heart as her porcelain cheeks began to turn that stark hue of red that came with her own flustered embarrassment.

Abigail was as unprepared for the end of that kiss as she had been the very beginning of it and yet, the young woman was quick to wave off Arlo's apology at moving the pair so abruptly into...well...kissing zone. It was true that her intimate experiences were rather non-existent and yet, in a way, for a first-kiss, it was...rather perfect. Unorthodox though it was. Arlo's sudden assurance that she was good at that act only furthered that crimson flush to her usually pale cheeks. Abigail could still taste him on her lips, the sheer thought of what she had just done only served to produce a sort of girlish giddiness within her - the kind that surely would linger for the remainder of the night and well into the next day. The sound of his laughter, however, coaxed a shy and yet warm smile across her sweetheart lips, even if the girl was far too absorbed within the moment to consider things like the way her shoes had been pinching her feet but moments ago or the long walk back to her little townhome or even the encroaching sun. Thank goodness that Arlo was level-headed enough to even mention returning home before Abigail simply wandered the streets with her head in the clouds all night!

That invitation to return to her home with him, was gratefully accepted, only for Abigail to pause before reaching forward for Arlo's hand. The action alone was far bolder then she might have considered before and yet, touching the man in such a fashion was hardly peculiar, given the fashion in which she often was curled around his shoulders or nestled on his chest. Her head leaned against his shoulder, the woman wholly oblivious to the fashion such a small action prompted that softness to his gaze. "Home sounds nice." The young woman uttered almost wistfully. Really, all of this had begun to make her peculiarly sleepy. With that rush of adrenaline slowly tapering off from that professed love mixed with the liquor that ladened her veins. Home was started to sound absolutely wonderful. Her own pace was far slower than normal as she trailed alongside of the man, her head still settled against Arlo's shoulder. Her bed was going to feel absolutely wonderful tonight, especially considering how cool it was outside....those sheets would be so warm and toasty. And her pillow! It was going to be awesome. In fact, the only thing that interrupted her thoughts of bed was the sudden inquiry of her father, the very mention of the man seemed to bring a sort of alertness to the young woman all over again.

"Daddy?" She inquired glancing up at him only for her thoughts to sluggishly catch up. "Oh, no, no, he's in um...where did he say he was? Uruguay, I think?" She added, only for her eyebrows to furrow ever so slightly. Did she have to tell her father about this? After all, it wasn't as if the man was in the city very often, and what if he told her no? Would he tell her no? He probably would, at least until she graduated. Maybe she could just work extra hard at her studies to prove she could be a good student and have a boyfriend and then he couldn't say no, right? She could hardly help the fashion at which she bit her bottom lip as she considered the chance her father would step in the middle of that tender relationship. It was that very quandary that took over her thoughts the remainder of that walk and yet, Abigail was lated to see her little home in the low light of the early early early morning. Home! Slowly, she dropped Arlo's hand as she reached for that door, fiddling with the lock only to push open that ivory door front to the warm embrace of that dark home that awaited them.

Near immediately, Abigail's foot rose, her hand reaching down at the same moment to fiddle with the buckles on those heels and pull them off of her poor feet. She glanced up from her task only at the sound of her name upon Arlo's lips. "Hm?" She inquired, those bright hazel eyes focused upon him as he inquired to how serious she had been. Serious? About....what? It took her a moment to connect what Arlo was speaking of and yet, her head was already bobbing before he finished his sentence. Abigail switched to the other foot as she spoke, "Uh huh, we just have to plan it so I can have my school work done before and I gotta take time off of work..." Her voice trailed off, her eyebrows furrowed for a moment as her fingers toyed with that buckle. "Ah! There." She announced triumphantly as that extra shoe fell to the ground. "Maybe over winter break?" She inquired, glancing up at him, "Or there's spring break?" At the very least, she was willing to re-arrange her schedule just for her boyfriend, boyfriend. Wasn't that a nice thought? Even if he was currently crumpling that button down-shirt while attempting to undo his tie in a fashion that made her giggle.

"I happen to quite like you in that outfit." She informed him as she closed that small distance between them. That suggestion to stay the night caught the woman off guard. Although this was hardly the first time that Arlo had stayed over, these nights were rare and far between. Any consideration she would have given that idea, however, was promptly interrupted by the notion that she might rather use the opportunity to call her girlfriends to tell them about Arlo. Abigail could hardly help the giggle on her lips only for her head to shake ever so slightly. Frankly, she hardly saw the need to inform him that she didn't have those sort of friendships in the first place. Instead, the girl merely reached out for his tie, using the fact that she had ensured it was securely knotted to her advantage as she led the man by his tie up those stairs."Oh, come on Arlo. Let's get this off of you." She informed him, glancing over her shoulder at him as she led the way to her own room.
