Anacosta Heights

Hawethorn Village

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Where are the People that Accuse Me?

To be honest it's been awhile since I last felt what having a family was like. I mean I had my parents for about 15 years. Mind you those first five years I hardly remember. I mean I was a child. Do you honestly expect me to remember my folks that well. Not really. Let's also add the fact that with my parents being diplomats and all they hardly spent a lot of time with me. Most of the time I was in school. I would come home and do my homework. Mom and Dad always made it important though that we would have dinner together each night, whether it was at an early time or later time. Then once a week we would try to do a family fun night. Those were always fun times. Sometimes we would watch a movie. Other times we would play some sort of board game. They were amazing parents. I mean sometimes there were a pain. I mean all parents are like that. So, you know, I had a good childhood. I was cared for and I was loved. It's amazing that everything good could come crashing down all in one night. Mom didn't want to go. She promised me that we would go out and do something fun together, like go see a movie, or go bowling. But she was called into having a surprise audience with the Foreign Minister to Saudi Arabia. And one doesn't say no to someone like that.

It's nice being on my own I guess. I mean I don't have to listen to anyone tell me what I should and shouldn't do. I can leave my home a complete mess without someone telling me I should clean up. Of course my place looks clean. Not like spotless where my home is more like a museum. Just you know a normal place, a place that looks livable. I'm doing fine on my own. I have a job. I have an inheritance that is currently being watched over by a bunch of smart finical advisors. I was invited to join some sort of Horse Unit with a bunch of Dark Hunters. It's kinda nice I guess. I consider it like a hobby. I mean it's not my purpose in life or anything. It's just something to do. I know it's important. I mean for some of those horses and their riders this is their purpose, and that's cool I guess. It's sorta kinda like a military thing. I'm not quite sure my folks would be proud I joined the military. Either way it is nice. I get to learn new things. It feels nice to be around other Weres, other horses even. It's funny, but it does help. I guess since I'm an animal that thrives in being in a herd, that I would enjoy myself being in a big group setting as this one. Although the young adult me is content with being anti-social sometimes.

Which is why this afternoon I am allowing myself some me time. It's like a mental and personal day all in one. My next shift at the café isn't for another few days. The Unit doesn't require my presence for a week. Which leaves me some precious time for me, myself, and I. The day was spent with me sleeping in for a luxurious 12 hours. Then after stuffing my face with left over pizza I decided to sit on the couch and binge watch a new TV series. I have no interest in seeing others today. I just wanted to be left alone and reenergize myself. As the day was coming to an end and night fell, I was about to get up and fix myself a sundae once episode 12 season 3 was over and done with, when I heard a rather large couple of knocks on my door. I haven't seen Anastasia for a while so it can't be her. If Alexander needed me he would have called. I doubt the ancient King even knows where I live. Curious I pause the TV for a moment and the theme song stops playing. Moving up towards the door I lift up on my toes as I near the door, looking through the eye hole. To my surprise I see a familiar old face. Weird. We haven't spoken to one another in years. Last I heard about him was that he didn't like supernatural creatures. So, why in the world would he come up here to bother me? Unlatching a few locks I open the door a bit, unashamed by the fact I was wearing sweats and a baggy, raggedy, hoodie. I doubt this is a family visit, because if it was, he would have come to me much earlier...right? With a sigh I hold up my hands, speaking quite arrogantly.

"I swear to God, I didn't do anything! You can go ask Alexander."
