Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Scarlett could feel the warmth of the pack bond humming within her, stronger now that the distance between them was gone. Of course it had been hard to leave them to go on this trip, but part of her would never truly be satisfied unless she did. The loss and longing to travel and melded together until finally she succumbed to the call and knew that the best way for her to truly be at peace was to go. It seems she had truly missed a lot in her time away, with the arrival of Malia. The blonde was sure they probably would have started out on a better note if this was not how they were meeting, but surely in time that frosty outer layer would melt away and they would be family; Scarlett was never one to give up on anyone, even if she had to bite her tongue a few times by the rather gruff greeting she received. One by one everyone filed into the room, including the stranger, and she found herself beaming at the life in the room. It was such a nice feeling to have so many friendly faces around, if she were in her canine form her tail would surely be wagging a mile a minute and perhaps knocking several things off where they were placed, much to Frost's dislike of this particular habit of hers; she was incredibly clumsy and often times things of her alpha's tended to pay the price. She was glad however that the introduction with Malia went smoothly enough, mostly with the help of Frost to describe both girls a little and perhaps spur some interest in the other. She smiled as she noticed the brunette woman take a particular interest in the mention of her power, much as their alpha had predicted.
Emerald eyes watched in amusement as the stranger in the room was addressed then. She seemed quiet shy, and Scarlett was certain that this many people was sensory overload for the poor girl who looked like she wanted to simply bolt from the room. Her red hair truly was stunning, and Scar couldn't help the light laughter that left her lips as Frost likened her to a viking, much to the girl's distaste. She listened in enjoyment at the banter between the coyote and stallion, finding both were keen to take a jab at the other when the opportunity arose. Quickly though her attention was taken away to hang out presents before there was an actual viking raid in the house in the way of the twins stealing presents. The wolf had taken care to give everyone well thought of presents, though for Malia it was hard since she had never met the other woman but she hoped she would at least enjoy the sweets. After all, who didn't like sweets?
It was definitely a long winded tale as she went over in minimal detail each place she visited, what she had done, and her thoughts on the place. The Werewolf had definitely left her comfort zone in some of the places she had visited. New York was not a place she would find herself visiting again without very good reason, but most of the other places were nice enough that she wouldn't mind going again and some she definitely would love to revisit. She perked up after finishing her tale when Frost inquired about the very nature of the museums she had visited in DC.
Emerald eyes watched in curiosity as Izzy suddenly approached Abigail and began asking question. The red head seemed entirely uncomfortable, almost a panicked look in her eyes by the mere close proximity of the child and the sudden question. It seemed something about Izzy frightened her. Frost however was quick to act on it, quickly answering the young child's question and drawing her attention back to Scarlett before the newcomer was scared away. The wolf smiled warmly as the young girl made her way back over to her.
