Hold on to this lullaby; even when the music's gone

She just watched him for a bit, like she read about humans doing to animals in those places called zoos. They sounded more like jail to her. So she watches him as he moves around the kitchen, the way he is so focused on the pan and the meat. Unless Blake had hundreds of books lying around she wasn't exactly going to lift anything, unless it was the shirt she was wearing. When she is satisfied with watching him does she entered the kitchen, "It's okay, and they're just a bit damp is all." She responds, leaning against the counter. She watches as his head snaps up and it is only then that she remembers him mentioning keeping her pants on but she would rather not; wet denim chafed something fierce in delicate places.

She watches the way his hand pushes the glass away and she could only pout in response, determined to get her way in the end anyway. How did she like what cooked? Oh, the meat, that was something that the humans did. Cooked their meat. Only on rare occasions did her family actually cook their meat and sit down like normal people. Holidays were such occasions, otherwise they'd go out on group hunts during the days and in the end, she'd go on her own. "Rare," she responds, grinning at his joke about well-done, if only he knew that she liked it still bleeding...

When he asks her to grab some items she is finally relieved to be doing something. Pushing herself away from the counter and fishing out the requested items while also simultaneously creating them some salads. The way she eyed the leafy greens was a mixture of disdain yet also want, a habit of her species to crave both meat and greens on occasion. She found herself stopping to watch what he was doing, her specialty was baking and left what cooking they did up to her mother and sisters. She just didn't enjoy it as much as decorating a cake.

"Why did you sell your table?" She asks, a frown furrowing her brows, "Do you not have family dinners?" They'd tried to have a sit down dinner at least once a week because that was how long it took to get everyone in one room together. Sunday dinners that was this huge cook out where they all just sat and ate and (in the adults cases) drank a whole lot. There'd be mock fights and board games and time just spent bonding and being in each other's company. Her father thought that times like those were the ones that brought the pack closer, he'd been thinking of bringing in those who weren't related and not just those who had married in either. Expanding his territory and in turn expanding Claire's reach to the outside world.
