Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Amelia smiled as Troy whispered into her ear, hoping that he was part of the main course of her meal to come. She nodded her head softly to him, knowing that his blood had healing properties. While she would not drain him dry, she would take a moment to relish his taste and welcome the healing that would come from him. While it would not be the seductive feeding she was used to partaking in, it would serve it's purpose.
Once they were finally out of the club, she teasingly told him that he attracted danger when they were out on the town. He seemed hurt and she only smiled sweetly at him, knowing that he had taken her words the wrong way. "I didn't mean it that way..." She rested her hand lovingly on his chest before he suggested that he would just have to buy them a private club. She smiled. "I won't say no to that...at least then we can be a little more handsy and it won't matter." They could be seductive and erotic and it wouldn't matter. They would be the only ones in the club. It sounded nice, actually...to be able to love Troy how she wanted and whenever she wanted.
As they began to walk towards the Impala, Amelia couldn't help but wonder if it was wrong for her to feel ashamed that they survived while others did not. He tried to make her feel better, as she knew he would, but it was so hard to come to terms with what he was saying. She wished she could stay back and help the injured and prevented some of the deaths. Normally, she might have done that. But right now, she had to think of Troy and Tenley. She couldn't leave her daughter without a mother and her fiancé without his love.
Once they were situated in the car, Amelia felt his hand on her thigh as he announced that it was time for them to head home. She reached down and took his hand in hers, squeezing it lightly. The ride home was relatively silent, not like the ride to the club which had been filled with teasing.
But the time Troy pulled up to the house, Amelia was quick to exit the vehicle and swiftly move into the house. The hour was late, but she didn't care. She kicked off her heals and jogged barefoot up the stairs and towards the nursery. She opened the door and stepped inside until she could peer into the crib that held her sleeping daughter. Amelia remained there for several minutes before she exited the room, closing the door behind her.
As she came back down the stairs, she grabbed some large tweezers, some gauze, vodka, and some other miscellaneous supplies. "Troy?" She called out for her lover, hoping he might be near her somewhere. Only when he appear did he hand her the box of various supplies. "I need you to remove the bullet." She had absolute faith in Troy and she knew he would do a brilliant job.
