Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Hold on to this lullaby; even when the music's gone

The rest of the shopping trip had been an adventure in itself, the rising emotions she had felt with seeing that red-head near Frost had been enough to pull the magic from her; just barely. She's not sure why it seems to have reared its head but it had been quickly dampened by Frost coming back into view, cutting off her gaze to the woman. But Claire was sure it would have happened and then where would she be? She'd grinned at his words about asking him before sampling things and had quite happily spit the crushed up bean into a random box, confident that the poor girl who had almost been brought to her knees would have to clean it up. Her attention had been snagged by the credit card, the piece of plastic so tantalizing that she'd taken it hesitantly before following the others and getting on a line and while it had taken her a few tries to get it right, she figured it out in the end, still wondering why there were no bright lights. She'd even stolen the store trolley. Dragging it behind them as they had walked home. She even thought dinner had gone well that night too, a veggie stir-fry made with homemade noodles, she'd started off easy and left the meat alone.

But it had been that foreign feeling, a feeling she associated with a favored toy in her childhood, that caused her to roll from her bed that morning and trailing clothing down through the kitchen she'd shifted and gone for a run through the streets, she hadn't wanted to brave the park, too many things had happened within it for her liking at the moment. She'd familiarized herself with the neighborhood, running a perimeter around their home before branching out and exploring the other houses.

When she was satisfied and when she'd gotten rid of the itch to run she'd slid back into the house through a well placed set of garbage cans and her small form to slip in through the window like they'd agreed, humans didn't generally like others roaming around naked. She wasn't sure why, it was all very natural to be unclothed, after all you were born that way. This was her train of thought when she pads into the kitchen and after shifting back had proceeded to bake and at the same time, cook herself some lunch. Her hair was pinned up to keep it out of the way and she'd found a radio she could click on and even though she didn't understand half of the songs she was content to bounce around the kitchen to it, believing herself to be alone.

She was halfway through making the cake, a 5-layer she'd found in one of Frost's books, surprised that he'd actually had one or it had just gotten shoved to the bottom of a pile and forgotten. While she waited for the cake layers to cool she was in the middle of making the icing to hold them all together when she heard the noise between a break in the songs. She froze, her finger halfway to her mouth covered in the frosting she was hell-bent on sampling.
