Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Frost wasn't the only one eyeing the llama that idly grazed on hey in the packs backyard. Scarlett had made it her goal to try and gain the creatures trust, so she could pet it. Despite growing up on a farm, her grandparents had never owned a llama and so the young woman was beyond curious about the strange, long-necked creature. The first time she had ventured over, the llama had grown instantly defensive, sensing the predator that lay beneath her skin. It spit at her, causing poor Scarlett to quickly retreat and rethink a new strategy of approach. Perhaps she could sneak up while the animal was distracted with the many children and other adults petting it. So once more she quietly and slowly made her way up to the animal, trying to slip in and gently pet it. But once more it sensed her approach and grew agitated, forcing her to scurry off once more before it accidentally hurt one of the small children near it. A frown graced her lips as she eyed it in deep thought. Scarlett was absolutely determined to pet this llama. Perhaps it could be bribed? But what did llamas even like to eat? Were they like horses? The blonde woman quickly scurried off to the kitchen to grab various amounts of treats that she knew horses liked: apple slices and carrots. When she wandered back outside, emerald eyes watched the fluffy animal as she slowly approached. As soon as it saw her, it began to get defensive again, to which she immediately held out the snacks she had brought. It sniffed the air and eyed her wearily, but let her approach as if swayed by the sight of something delicious. Closer and closer she got until she held the treats out and the llama instantly began to munch on them from her hand. With her other hand, she gently reached out the stroked the plush fur of the animal. Success!

Of course the llama wasn't the only animal within the yard, there was a menagerie of other assorted farm animals in a petting zoo all for the twins birthday party. Nadya had certainly gone all out for Micah and Izzy: There was a dress up area, a puppet show, a bounce house, pony rides, and of course the petting zoo. When Scarlett was a child, she could only dream of ever having a party like this. Growing up on a farm in a small southern didn't give her the option, but she never truly complained, she understood how much her grandparents provided and sacrificed for her and never asked for more. Also there were no kids around her age, meaning she didn't exactly have any friends to invite over. Scarlett was happy however that Micah and Izzy get to have this kind of childhood. Plus she was still having a lot of fun at the party even now: eating all the snacks, petting all the animals, shamelessly wearing a crown from the dress up area, and surrounded by adorable kids. Not to mention she herself had spoiled the twins rotten with a lot of presents, she loved them to death and just couldn't help herself on their special day even knowing they were probably going to get a lot of stuff from other people too.

The blonde woman bounded away from the petting zoo, emerald eyes scanning her surroundings until she found Frost and Nadya perched on the fence with Micah clinging to their legs. She wandered over, just in time to catch Frost mention something about getting the twins a pony. "What!? I want a pony," She said jokingly, putting on her best pouty face to sell the bit as she came and stood by Nadya. "I think you should totally get a llama instead. I got to pet it and that thing is SO soft," she said, grinning ear to ear as she pointed towards scruffy animal not far away, "Could name it Llama Bean or Llamanade." She just couldn't help herself with the puns, snorting at her own jokes even if Nadya and Frost didn't think it was funny. Everyone was a critic and Scarlett knew her jokes were top tier comedy even if they didn't appreciate them. Besides how funny and awesome would it be to have a llama just chilling in the backyard all the time?

She squatted down to be on Micahs level as she gave him a gentle, friendly smile. "Hey buddy, you having a fun time?" she mused, knowing he was a shy and could easily get overwhelmed by the sheer mass of people. It was totally ok to be overwhelmed by a situation and need a break, sometimes even Scarlett felt like that and so she could sympathize with him. "Are you excited for cake and presents? I bet the cake is going to be so good," she said with a grin, trying to gently coax him into talking but there was never anything forceful about her words; she understood his comfort levels and never wanted to push him passed them. If he wanted to talk to her he would and if not, that was ok too. When she finally stood back up, leaving little Micah alone, she glanced over to the pony rides, watching Izzy ride on the back of one in delight. "Looks like Izzy is having fun," she mused out loud, smiling fondly at the site of the young girl. She was glad the twins could have the things she could not.
