Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
if these wings could fly for the rest of our lives
The fresh air was like....the BEST after so fearing she was going to be stuck in that locked house for like...ever. Abby was greedy as she gulped in the sweet scent of spring, her little nose twitching as she shifted in that canvas bag, just enough so her hazel eyes could peak over the rim of the bag. She watched, fascinated, as they meandered down the Northern streets down a path she had never before been. She was well aware of the young girls' quickened pace, Abigail's own gaze widened at the very sight of that playground that so crept into view. The playground was blissfully empty, the darkness guaranteeing the children who frequented here were safely tucked away within their own beds at this very hour. The very sound of Anna-Marie's voice caused her large hazel eyes to turn upwards. Her mouth parted as Abigail nodded with far more glee and comprehension than a mere animal would surely display. She was SO ready! Look at those slides! They were SO COOL with all their twists and turns! She shifted ever so slightly within that bag as Anna-Marie adjusted the strap, only for the girl to pet her on the very top of her head. Her nose wrinkled as her fur was so ruffled and yet, for now, Abby was willing to ignore that misplaced fur in her excitement for the rope structure that stood before them, just WAITING to be conquered.
She watched with a ready wiggle to her frame as Anna-Marie climbed that structure with relative ease, hardly rushing as she made her way upwards, higher and higher until she reached the very tip-top. Her head turned only at Anna-Marie's voice, the panda looking with awe at the city lights that were visible only from the very top of the structure. It was so.....so beautiful! She was hardly done eying those sparkly lights, however, before Anna-Marie turned away to position the panda into that world of darkness, her own hazel eyes quickly adjusting to the very dimness and yet, it hardly helped to quell the jitters that came from staring down that longggg darrrrrkkkk tube. How spooookkyyy!! Her gaze turned upwards towards the young girl as Anna-Marie began that countdown, pushing off at the very sound of three. That exciting rush of adrenaline filled the little panda as they flew down that tube, the very sensation prompting a squeal from the panda, her claws gripping into the cotton material of that bag out of instinct than any true fear. Weeeeeeeeeeeee!!! Abruptly, however, that tunnel of darkness began to lighten, the pair popping out of the other side onto the ground before Anna-Marie bounded upward, screaming that they had to do it again!
Within mere moments the pair were climbing back up that mountain of rope, only for Anna-Marie to settle at the gaping entrance of a new slide. Again the girl counted down before pushing off, the pair sent careening down that slide with its twists and turns before they were so spat out onto the ground, the very speed of which resulting in the vampire child ending up on her rear. The giggles from the girl's lips, however, resulted merely in an overly eager series of barks from the panda. Abigail, however, was hardly content to simply remain in that bag, the girl popping upwards and as she clawed her way out, apparently of the idea that SHE was capable of climbing that mountain just as well. After all, why COULDN'T she go down the slide by herself?! She was a big girl - quite literally. Her usual gait was far more of a waddle with that necklace fastened around her neck, the young woman entirely attentive to its presence despite her eagerness to play. She made her way to the base of that roped mountain, only to glance over her shoulder and offer the vampiric child another enthusiastic bark. Her tail flopped behind her before Abigail's claws so dug into that rope structure, lifting her petite figure upwards. She was hardly as fast as Anna-Marie and yet, she was nothing if not utterly determined as she climbed, her own species surely made for these sorts of ascents....sort of....minus the whole...gaping holes in the rope sort of thing. It was only once she finally made it to the top that Abigail made her way towards the entrance of that very same slide they'd only just come down. She stared tentatively down that dark hole before settling upon her butt, glancing up at the young girl that surely followed with another eager series of barks. She needed help after all, to get that initial push - that whole not having fingers clearly not working to her advantage but boy was Abigail READY!
