Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
death incarnate & night triumphant
Andras wasn't entirely sure if he had been avoiding Troy, the man having been with him to find and save Lani... and witness her transformation. He knew the man well enough that he wouldn't intrude on him as Andras dealt with such personal matters. Yet, even with everything he had gone through with Lani, she had disappeared, perhaps she simply couldn't stand that he had taken her choice away from her. She was an immortal now and would outlive her family, her friends and everyone close to her. It was heart wrenching to find her gone, though he knew it was a possibility, the man couldn't understand what she was going through as he had been born a faerie. It was such thoughts that he wallowed in, those same thoughts plaguing him and yet, he would live with it. Would he have changed his mind if he knew the outcome? Probably not, so he pushes forward, his mind fully occupying the darkness that had so spread from within his court.
It doesn't take him long to find Troy's house, Andras shoving his hands into his pockets, his frame dressed in his usual classy attire. He stands on the the sidewalk, his heightened hearing picking up the movement from within the home. At least, he knew someone was home. He had yet to meet Amelia or the child and he secretly hoped they wouldn't be up and moving as daylight so filtered through the trees above him. Releasing a sigh, he moves up the walkway and quickly raps on the door, just quiet enough not to wake a, perhaps, sleeping child from within. His mind wanders back to that fateful night, Troy having witnessed Andras finishing Lani's change. Though he knew the man had encouraged him to do it, he had made it abundantly clear that he didn't tolerate dark magic of any kind within his court. Changing humans into faerie's was strictly outlawed and he had broken his own law. True, Lani hadn't died at his hand but she should have died that night.
Pushing the thought away, the sorrow threatens to overwhelm him but he allows a wall to slam down on such emotions. He had made his choice and Lani had made hers, he couldn't change the past even if he wanted to. Letting his hands slip back into his pockets, he waits patiently for Troy.
