Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
he was both everything you could ever want
and nothing you could ever have
It was the inquiry of what a 'normal' pregnancy was that caused the Englishman to glance up from his own food, his vibrant blue eyes briefly slid between his lover and their host. Admittedly, Sebastian's own knowledge of the pregnancy process was...limited. Within his youth, men were simply not burdened with such concerns, in his death, it was an impossibility that he, in turn, frequently failed to think of entirely. What constituted as normal was as foreign to him as it was his own husband. He remained silent at Dorian's very admittance to such, only for Troy to interject that, at least to him, it had seemed normal enough. Perhaps Amelia was not Troy's first then? After all the fae came from an age similar to their own, did he not? He dared not ask after such, however, as his attention turned back towards the vampire across from him at the very mention of 'monthlies'. The very term for that womanly...condition saw Sebastian's eyebrow slowly raised upwards, much less the fact that they were having this conversation at all! The slight movement out of his periphery drew his gaze towards his lover, his glacier irises momentarily meeting those silver ones he so adored in a subtle glimpse that surely said all he thought of that very discussion - that stare almost beseeching his lover not to inquire after such things any further at the dinner table! Nevertheless, the vampire's attention quickly turned back towards Amelia as she swallowed that drink of wine, the woman continuing her story of her discovery of her pregnancy.
Sebastian could hardly help that almost blatant stare as Amelia admitted that, after only their first coupling, she had begun to experience those changes, changes that started with a desire for fae blood. How she had never before desired the delectableness of the fae was altogether baffling to the vampire. Their very flavor, after all, was nothing short of astounding. Amelia's control over those vampiric urges were clearly far better than even Sebastian's himself. His lips pressed together ever so slightly as he contemplated just how utterly irresistible he found his husband's own blood. Surely Dorian hardly faulted him for this...did he? His eyebrows furrowed and yet, such thoughts were hardly allowed to persist as his lover inquired after the very fact that Sebastian himself had noticed, and, in turn, overlooked - that they had been given only one coupling before the conception of their daughter. That nod of confirmation left Sebastian perhaps as wordless as his own lover, Amelia clearly taking the opportunity to continue her tale at the mention of canned soup.
The Prince was hardly ignorant of the substance and yet, admittedly, he'd never had a desire to taste it. Nevertheless, Sebastian hardly interrupted that tale as Amelia insisted she'd felt her stomach kick, the very shock of it all apparently demanding that Troy touch her abdomen as well. His bright blue eyes briefly shifted towards the elder fae as Troy mentioned a scene from a sci-fi movie, one Sebastian knew well would be lost upon his husband. Admittedly, movies had never been much of the Englishman's forte either. His entire experience with the series had been some...movie with aliens and...other aliens that hunted the first aliens? It had been baffling enough though he'd paid admittedly little attention to it, the entire evening instead focused upon getting into the pants of a particular young man. Nevertheless, a simper flittered across his features as Amelia paused, albeit briefly. Amelia hardly made the table wait long, however, before she continued that tale. Frankly, Sebastian was rather surprised Amelia's doctor hadn't run her own tests to detect the reason behind Amelia's condition, after all, there were a great many of the undead who would easily kill for the chance to have a child of their own after all these years. Such considerations did not last long, however, in the wake of the woman's admission that she had not been with anyone prior to Troy for nearly twenty-five years. Sebastian could hardly help that look of slight horror upon his features, though he was quick to recover from his own surprise as Dorian near choked upon his wine.
For a moment, his attention turned towards his husband, the weight of his glacier blue irises upon the King in a slight glimpse of concern. Thankfully, his lover was all too quick to recover with a cough and thinly veiled excuse. Sebastian knew well Dorian's sex drive nearly rivaled his own, the fae Monarch never once turned him down with those urges needed to be met. Twenty-five years sounded painful. Sebastian watched, almost mystified, as she took another gulp of wine. His own food and drink had near been forgotten in the wake of that story, the vampire doing little more than inspecting the woman across from him as she continued with her tale. Sebastian had, admittedly, come to almost anticipate the ending. After all the child had grown an awful lot in the short amount of time between now and when they last saw the babe. Despite Amelia's insistence that, otherwise, things seemed normal, Sebastian was most certain that things most definitely were not. After all, she was a vampire! Who had a child!
It was only after a moment of silence that the Italian Prince regained his composure enough to inquire if Amelia had fully grown into her....gifts. He was almost surprised to discover that the young woman had listened only one aptitude, though this only served to confirm his own suspicions. His own head bobbed in agreement with his lover's suggestion that, perhaps, her love for Troy had awoken within her a unique ability to carry a child - gifting her with what would otherwise be incapable of being born. It was, however, Amelia's almost defeated admittance that she hardly knew how to control it, however, that prompted an inkling within the vampire. His head tilted to the side as he listened to his lover's suggestion, the very notion that it might be a medical problem alone, however, had coaxed a far different thought to mind.
