Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
For those few moments where unconsciousness gripped the young wolf, she was blissfully untouched by pain or exhaustion. It was perhaps a good thing that her mind had lost its grip, that the last of her strength and resolve gave out, so that Frost could quickly remove the bullet without causing her further pain. The seering of the silver as the bullet was removed from the flesh it had already savaged, had she been conscious her cries would have been unbearable to hear. Almost immediately after the removal of the bullet did Scarlett's own healing ability instinctively kick in, almost like a warding had been removed to release the were magic. Cells had already begun to regenerate, working towards stitching the tissue back together, any bleeding that Frost had restarted pushing the tweezers into damaged flesh to snag the bullet lodged deep within had already stopped. It would still take some time still, her body exhausted of nearly all its energy, but soon the wounds she had sustained would be gone, fresh scar tissue the only sign of what had happened.
It did not take long for Scarlett's mind to try and pull itself back from the darkness. Her small canine frame stirred ever so slightly, facial muscles twitching as her brain struggled to make sense of what was going on around her. Nadya and Frost's voices were muffled, sounding almost distant, and yet the familiarity pulled at something deep within the young wolf. She stirred more, the softness of Nadya's voice making Scarlett's fluffy tail twitch, a subconscious tail wag. Green eyes struggled to blink, to try and open and keep themselves open. Each time they managed to crack open even the smallest amount, they were met with blinding light from the room. She whimpered softly, scared because her head felt so strange and her whole body ached in a way she had never experienced in her life. She wanted this whole thing to stop, for her body to stop feeling so weird, to wake up and be with her family again.
After several more tries, Scarlett managed to keep her eyes open, and after several short moments, the world around her slowly came into focus. Despite her head feeling light, her body felt incredibly heavy and also warm. Green eyes glanced to Frost who sat close by, the warmth had to come from him. It was incredibly comforting seeing people she loved surrounding her in these scary, uncertain times. Her tail wagged, lightly and slowly brushing along the floor; even looking half dead on the floor, she still wagged her tail in happiness. Using all the strength she could muster, she struggled to lift herself just enough so that she could gently rest her head on Nadya. Scarlett wanted nothing more than to be close to her friend right now.
