Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

I know some things should just stay broken

i'm well aware this should remain unspoken

Sterling could still remember the night that had ended their relationship with painful clarity. That hurt and anger had been too much for Sterling to continue down a path that he was certain would only lead to more rejection. He was tired of never feeling enough for his boyfriend. He was tired of always being the other guy while Henry's affections fluttered from one person to the next with some excuse that Sterling never viewed as an acceptable reason for his utter betrayal. He knew Henry justified his actions each time, and for a while, Sterling had believed that...maybe Henry was right. Maybe he was overreacting. Now, however, with Henry's insistence that he still loved him, Sterling could hardly help that bitterness that filled him. It was too bad Henry had never loved him enough to remain loyal to him. The bright blue of his gaze drifted upwards towards his ex - were they really going to do this now? "That's funny. You didn't love me enough to follow the paramedics to the hospital to see if I'd survive." He muttered with a small shake to his head. It was a low blow and he knew it but that point had still hurt above everything else. Henry's guilt had been greater than Henry's love that day -- but wasn't that always how it was.

"Sorry, forget I said that. I guess I just....need more than an 'i love you' at this point." The Warlock uttered after a moment, the bright blue of his gaze turned towards the window as he purposefully inquired after the DMV instead. At least that was a relatively safe conversation in comparison to all that had gone on between them. He hadn't anticipated Henry's frustration about someone eating a bat in China - that garnered Sterling's attention as he inquired after if that was really what had caused a global pandemic. A bat - of all things. Why someone would decide to cook a bat was....beyond him. They hardly seemed like a good source of meat and yet...chefs in Asia as a whole were...an unusual breed. "Huh." A soft musing sound left Sterling's lips, the Warlock certainly had no reason to doubt his ex-boyfriend. His gaze slowly shifted back towards Henry as the man began to move about the kitchen again, what with the pasta finally finished and dinner finally ready.

Sterling fell to silence as Henry drained the noodles, placing both pasta and sauce on their plates only to fetch the bread from the oven. "Garlic." He answered simply, watching as it too was placed upon his plate. "Thank you." Sterling continued as he took his offered plate, the man content to remain at his position upon the bar as Henry placed his plate instead upon the dining room table. He had only just picked up his fork when Henry's voice drew his gaze upwards and towards the man standing in front of the fridge. "Uh..yeah sure..thanks." Sterling responded, more than willing to drown his grouchiness in the sweet allure of alcohol. How did Henry cheat on him and abandon him and yet Sterling walked away as the one feeling like an ass?
