Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Oliver Burton
"The market is too volatile with get rich and bail ploys right now. " Oliver said his voice grim and crisp as he stood beside the white haired alpha in the spacious, clean kitchen eyeing the assortment of vegetables on the island before him with disinterst. The topic had somehow between the virus and reddit warriors trying to control the market by attempting to flood and control it. Which in turn... made a severe imbalance in the system. People all over were using their stimulus cheques to pump into the market... while just as quickly pulling it out that caused rocketing highs and dismal lows. Although the topic of cryptocurrency was one that was brought up next, far more volatile than even the stock market. Gambling on companies formed out of what seemed like thin air.. One.... Recently rapidly climbed and which gave the opportunity for serious gains and overnight millionaires. All because of a meme currency. A meme?? Weren't those just pictures with unfunny words on them? What was the world coming to? The market was an unpredictable beast, even if someone knew how to play it. Even he'd gained over a million in a week only to lose just as much, if not more. Oliver grumped and yet he hardly seemed truly worried, it was to be expected. Like all things, the tempered beast would soothe. It seemed better than taking a chance on a meme dog 'currency' like one could call it that. "Do you have investments in Crypto, Frost?" Oliver refused to invest in that meme crypto simply because of his moral stance, or maybe it was just a matter that it needed to be a bear rather than a dog? Even despite its cuteness.
Oliver ran a single hand through his hair before the sound of the front door carried to the gather group followed by a minor flutter of activity. The trio seemed far more concerned with that conversation at hand. Well.. more like the men were. Abigail was thrilled with her purple carrots that made the loudest crunch as she sunk her teeth into it while watching them, her gaze flicking back and forth. The pair didn't react to the sound so Oliver didn't seem alarmed, after all, this was the pack house.. commotion was likely. Yet wherever the person went, it wasn't the kitchen. The english businessman grasped at one of the purple carrots to look at its unusual hue as if noticing it for the first time, rolling it within his hand. "I've been thing it might be good to capitolize on the hype, make a new coin. Arctic coin. It could stand for something more.. Some of that earning can do some good. Far more than that ridiculous one with the dog.. that Musk is encouraging... I swear that man gets..." Weirder by the day. He never finished those words though as that piercing scream ripped through the large house. Oliver's head shot up in preparation for some kind of assault, losing the carrot with the others. Abigail stood abruptly, shot from her chair with a girlish shriek. Far too much screaming.. Why did they have to scream? Yet Oliver silently remained on high alert, his nutmeg hued eyes darting to the likely entry way where an assault could come. He instinctually moved to stand next to the young woman as if prepared to protect her from unseen threat. His body tensed, far too ready, as he narrowed upon the empty doorway. His past made him a little too ready for that fight, a little to quick, a little to aware.
Yet logicly, he wouldn't be hunted here, would he? Surely, they wouldn't find him here. Following that distant sounding scream followed by a feminine but obviously distressed voice that called out Frost's name. Abigail content to state the obvious that the mystery woman wanted the Alpha..."Is this common place with your women, Frost?" He grumbled that question, casting his gaze to the alpha stallion, while he forced his body to relax, his stance eased and yet still, Oliver's large form still loomed closely to Abigail like her own personal sentinal. Just in case. The young woman spoke quietly, which was odd for her, causing his brown eyes to shift toward his auburn companion. Thinking that taking that offered room to store some clothes might have upset someone.
"Did we steal her closet?" His rich English accented voice mirrored hers to a degree even though he did not whisper. He was unsure why someone would be upset about some shirts and slacks. However, that quiet didn't last long as Abby gasped, which caused Oliver to swiftly take in that kitchen... but the sound was caused only by some realization that all but consumed the panda. Gone was that whisper, instead her voice rose to a shout, that quietness never meant to last. "Malia?" Oliver seemed taken aback by the sudden shift to excitement. However, anything Oliver could have said was silenced as Abigail's words came out in a swift rush, as if each word was in a race with the first. Something about a wolf, and chasing butterflies. He was lost before, but now he was in complete darkness. It all went over his head as a perplexed expression drew across his usually stern features. "I..." He was cut off again when Abigail all but launched herself forward on the exclamation that she was going to get the woman. Oliver released a sigh, there was no way he was getting any kind of answers. Not yet. Instead, his long dark slack covered legs carried him leisurely as he followed after the lively young woman who resorted to shouting up the stairs to what he assumed where Malia wolf was.
Oliver rested his right hand onto the banister, his stance back to an imposing casual even despite the almost wary and assessing glance cast up the staircase.. It was as if he expected some enraged pissed off woman storming down the steps at any moment. Abigail had insisted that he meet her friend and packmate. His gaze returned to Abby. "Abigail.. the wolf seems to be in distress, the last thing she wants to do is meet me.. Maybe after Frost takes care of the bug or whatever caused her to scream in the first place. Then we will talk." Oliver's reasoning seemed all but ignored anyways... although he wasn't sure he could handle two excitable women at once. How did Frost do it?
