Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Harley nodded emphatically as she welcomed the blond warlock into her apartment, allowing the door to fall shut behind him and securing it before idly informing him that no additional harm had come to her bathroom. A win in her books. Although weird shit liked to happen when Sly was around. Although it had been remarkably quiet, even in the Syn department. Not that she would complain, nor would she look that particular gift horse in the mouth. It would appear that minor hiccup from her morning was certainly not enough to hinder her decent mood, getting yelled at by a homeless man was the least of her problems and one she had easily solved with a little bit of candy. If only all of life's problems could be solved with a little bit of candy. But that delicious scent of pizza filled her nose and made her wonder if pizza could do what candy could not.

Those herbs came next, Sly fished them from the depths of the pocket of his jeans. Part of her was surprised that he had remembered to bring them and also a little guilty considering she didn't really have a ghost problem... although she wondered the shelf life on that satchel of herbs... It could still come in handy.

The petite woman slid those pizza boxes onto her countertop in order to eye the little bag a little closer. It was difficult to imagine something as simple as some herbs could deter the supernatural. It was almost disappointing there would be no hint of abracadabra to activate them. The mention of 'real' magic was enough to draw the woman's attention to the blue-eyed blond warlock again. "I almost wouldn't mind seeing some 'real' magic. Could this possibly work on keeping out all kinds of the undead? Or just the visibly challenged?" Oh now that would be something she should keep on hand all the damn time if that were the case. Something she was certain was too damn good to be true, like most good things. The mention that there was no catnip was also a minor relief that gave her the all-systems go to draw the satchel of herbs to her nose, inhaling in deeply. Too deeply. Oh, that was a big mistake, Sly's warning had come far too late. She had already committed to that act and that sneeze already seized her. It was fortunate she was able to raise her arm in time. She shook her head as if that could help rid herself of the potent smell that could have singed the inside of her nose. It didn't help. She was not expecting that, it was a miracle that her eyes didn't leak. What the hell was in that? If ghosts could smell that would surely work. She wrinkled her nose as Sly's good-natured chuckle filled the room, a rich sound that drew her attention once more to the warlock that slight frown on her face started to fade as she noticed him truly. There was something certainly different about him. " Yup, that's strong stuff. I can confirm." She added wryly. What the hell was in that thing? Her poor nose was simply a casualty in the ordeal and she was no steps closer to figuring out the herbs inside of it either.

Sly seemed adamant that they go out before the tiling began, but that didn't mean they couldn't eat that pizza before, while it was hot. Such a thing would hardly take long. Yet how curious she was of just where they were headed, the warlock had been relatively closed-lipped about the whole thing which only sparked the spitfire's interest even more. Sly inquired where those plates were, clearly willing to lend a hand. "Second cabinet on the top. Don't worry the hinges have always been like that and they have always been just as resilient." Harley assured him, if that was assuring at all. He would be sure to find those unsteady cabinet doors had just about as much personality as everything in this place.

The Warlock, however, seemed to find them easily without incident, passing her one. The pair filled their plates with that cheesy perfection. She moved toward the table with several slices of pizza on her plate, the pair sitting in the exact same spots as the time before. She eagerly savoured the first bite. Yeah, you could never go wrong with pizza. She let out a satisfied sound before hearing about her odd neighbour, Harley inquired if he was given a hard time. That did not sound right at all. She listened intently to the story of what had happened and it all made sense. The were-feline caught the way those unruly blond locks fell into his eyes, curious if he liked it that wild or was simply too busy for a haircut. She saw the way his features turned into a frown, the guy.. her 'neighbour' seemed to have left an impression. Which was odd because her neighbours were... far from the type to rattle anyone... Yeah, there were some sketchy people around but she had been quite lucky with perfectly uneventful neighbours. Sly said the accented man knew their names. Both of them. Now that was stranger.

"Can't say I am surprised in this neighbourhood, there are all kinds of suspicious people hanging around here." Suspicious and exactly like that French fae, but what was he doing here? By now, he would probably be in Spain already, if it was in fact, his plan. Yet why the interest in Sly? That clearly meant... something. It probably should have been more alarming than it was that he was breaking and entering in her neighbour's home. Many mysteries were presented, and none of them made any sense. Really, for someone who was always busy, he never failed to make time to create trouble. Costly trouble. One she was damn sure he owed her for.

"If he is really who I think it is.. he is 'harmless'. Although, he just doesn't actually live here..." She wasn't exactly sure if Matteo would appreciate being called harmless and yet that slight smile formed on the edge of her lips. ".. and before you ask, I have no idea why he came out of someone else's apartment. Did he say anything else to you?" Harley easily met Sly's blue eyes just in time to see his demeanour shift into something teasing. Would she believe him if he said he made that pizza?

"Maybe. Do you think there are bonus points if you did?" She rose a brow, a hint of a challenge woven with amusement within that question. She drew a slice to her lips once more, savouring the perfect ratio of cheese, sauce, and bread. The conversation then took another unlikely turn, it caused a huff at the mention of her stance on extreme sports.

"My life feels like an extreme sport." Not exactly lying there and yet the words were spoken with an almost dry teasing tone. Yet she was entirely interested in what he actually meant. Extreme sports huh, the heavy weight of that unflinching gaze was upon the warlock who seemed purposefully vague... Oh, she had opinions on.. sports. She was certainly not the kind of girl who understood the enthusiasm over chasing a ball around. But extreme sports were a whole different bag.. that was a little more dangerous. A little more adrenaline-fueled. She leaned back slightly into her chair as if considering it more. "Hm, I could be into it. You might need to give a girl another clue. What kind of extreme sport are we dealing with?" Harley drew another bite before ripping off a piece of her crust to toss to Ace who had waited patiently and yet all too ready to snap it out of the air when it came his way with expert precision. Ace then moved to Sly as if wondering if he could go two for two. Ever the opportunist.. and yet so was Harley as she attempted to coax more information from her companion.
