Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

He allows her a few moments still as he rests beside her, offering her the opportunity to discover her new vision and dramatically increased hearing, each and every noise within that aged barn surely flooding her now delicate hearing as she seems to struggle to adjust all the more, the nickering sound she emits seeming to bring a look of amusement to his features all the same- the girl so oblivious to her own instincts in this regard, so unaware of which feelings were her own, human desires as those of a horse. She would learn, in time, to separate the two, else at least learn to recognise them- though for now he sees nothing to be gained from an attempted explanation on the mental facets of her new form. His focus instead entirely upon assisting her to rise like an hours old foal. She manages to free her right foreleg, slamming the hoof against the concrete in a manner that sees his own ears fold backward to shield the sound, a snort of displeasure at her action emitted though he offers no further punishment for now as she seems to give up on this desire entirely- her eyes closed as she speaks instead of the pain. For a moment he remains silent, tail flicked against the earth in contemplation, it would seem, before he simply offers the filly something of a blank look. Make the pain stop?

No.

It is a blunt, deliberate answer, perhaps more unfeeling in it's coldness then he truly desired and yet he has no true answer for the pain she is feeling. Her body has near turned itself inside out, her bones broken and re-formed, he would be more concerned, perhaps, were she free of pain entirely.

I cannot make it stop, Calliel, it will get easier in time- for now focus your mind elsewhere. You cannot stay on the ground forever, we are vulnerable if not on our feet, such is the nature of our species- unfortunately.

It was regrettable in it's truth, Frost forever ill content with this single fact and yet he can neither change nor edit the nature of his species and indeed he had learned over the years far more than one way to prevent himself losing balance and ever offering an enemy such a vulnerable position. Knowledge he would, in time, pass to Calliel should she prove worthy of it.

You will need both your forelegs to be placed in front of you, as I have them now, use them to place your weight upon, lean forward until your weight is within your shoulders-pulling forward until you can gather your hindimbs beneath you, pushing them down and yourself forward until you can lift yourself up and evenly balance your weight once more. Once you are up, simply stand- feel your limbs, do not try to walk- you will only fall, I promise you of that.

He moves to follow his own instructions then, lifting himself from the earth in a single, fluid motion before shaking himself thoroughly to rid the pale gold of his coat from straw and dust, stepping away from the girl now to look upon her- waiting for her to do as instructed.

Get up now. You are no good to anyone upon the floor like that.
