Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Kato Buhari
Kato in most circumstances was relatively laid back. However, if struck first, he held no qualms at striking back. Edie alone was the reason the rhino hadn't tackled Frost. His brief show of power was simply a nonverbal way for him to show Frost that he didn't just roll over from being struck. He could have easily opened up the ground further, allowing the earth to swallow not just Frost in his chair but the entire half of the house. It wouldn't have pleased Edie though.
The fact that Frost was perturbed by Kato calling Nadya his girlfriend was unknown...for what else would the object of his affections be other than that? What else could it be that would make putting packs at war acceptable in Frost's mind? The mild switch in Frost's demeanor though was clear. Kato shifted and spoke with a gruff, "I don't care about the rest of your pack." No, only Edie was afforded his attention. He didn't care what he sent his other members to do or how he spoke to them. There was half a thought in his mind to walk out then; finding this pack's situation almost a little too sticky to be within at the moment. He perhaps would have continued in retort to the slight man had it not been for Edie finding her strength again in order to pull herself up and between the two.
Kato's brows crinkled back at Edie as she placed her hand to his shoulder and pressed him back to sit on the couch she had just left. There was slight resistance in his movement, unwilling to entirely let go and be guided so easily. It was an odd thing to have Edie directing him in such a dominant fashion...at least in a matter outside of their trysts. Though it was obvious in her faltering words that directing him was odd, it was the brush of her lips against his that smoothed the ruffled feathers from his interaction with Frost. So he stayed, quiet but hard gazed watching Edie relay exactly what she had experienced in the Ark. The mention of Edie being tumbled by the panther caused Kato's hands to fist briefly where they rested on his knees. Though he hadn't seen the panther's actual size, he knew Edie's fennec fox was hardly a wisp in the wind so the visual wasn't a pleasant one.
Once Edie was finished with story time she seated herself beside him. Kato was given to think that Frost was simply mulling over everything Edie had said, oblivious to his telepathy power. He wasn't opposed to the silence honestly. His attention was on the delicate hand that had come to rest absently on his knee. It was that gesture that made up the rhino's mind that he wouldn't be leaving. She still needed him. Frost's break of the silence slid Kato's attention away from Edie to the man. "I'm not going anywhere, Jack." For a moment he regarded the other man before decidedly turning his attention back to Edie, curling an arm supportively around her lower back. "A bath would do you good for the bruising. Do you need help getting upstairs?" Of course he'd be more than willing to carry her upstairs but he had seen the shift in her with Frost's presence so was prepared for her to insist on doing things herself.
