Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
A soft exhale of contentment left the Englishman's lips at the sensation of his companion's flesh brushed against his side. The closeness that such a touch afforded him put him at ease though Sebastian found himself resisting the urge to continue such simple caresses - knowing well that any further sensation of skin on skin would border more on affectionate then the simple carnal desires that primarily made up the bulk of their relationship. It wouldn't do to confuse this for what it wasn't. Though Dorian had made an effort from the beginning of such a coupling to release him from any such notion of etiquette with their difference in social standing - there were some things that Sebastian knew well still should not be done or said. It was a line he was well aware of and all those lingering desires would surely not see him cross it. It was perhaps that which coaxed such teasing words from his lips, a simper dancing across the man's features. Dorian's abrupt chuckle certainly served to further his amusement though in truth he hardly expected any such response, not particularly requiring any sort of reassurance on the topic. Still, he could hardly deny the fashion at which that smile remained steadfast upon his features as Dorian admitted not only his satisfaction but also enjoyment of the sensation of their lips touching. "Well, in that case..." Sebastian uttered softly, leaning over towards the fairy king to tenderly press his lips against his companions in a kiss that bordered more upon romantic then the passionate zeal that had filled the last few moments of their encounter.
Slowly, Sebastian withdrew from his companion only for his attentions to turn towards his shirt that peeked out from the top of the wardrobe. A small frown marred his features as he glanced at the article of clothing, knowing all too well that retrieving it would not be that difficult. In the worst of cases, he could always merely just tip over the piece of furniture - however, he detested displaying the strength of the undead, preferring instead to seem perhaps as mortal as possible. "I'm sure we'll figure something out." He responded simply in turn, entirely content to fret over the lost shirt at a later point in their evening - when leaving was required of him. For now, he scarcely had a desire to further encourage such an inevitable event and so, instead, he remained where he was nestled in the warmth of Dorian's bed, covered in a slight sheen of sweat with the warm body of the fairy King against him. It was, he found, an ideal way to start his evening. A sound from beyond the window pane slowly drew even Sebastian's attention. It was a decidedly distinct noise, one in which Sebastian knew all too well and the simple familiarity of it somehow saw the vampire relax all the more. After all, his home country was known well for it's decidedly miserable weather - it was a facet that he perhaps found himself fond of. From the pea-soup fog to the ceaseless falling of water - it reminded him of home. Sometimes, he found himself missing it.
That yearning, however, was quickly forgotten as Dorian moved away from him, drawing his attention once more to his companion. His crystalline blue gaze watched as Dorian rifled with the contents of his night stand before once again settling back upon the bed and too against Sebastian's flesh. The vampire obliged to the fairy King's request - holding out his hand only to find a small circular object placed within it. His eyebrows rose ever so slightly as he plucked it out of his own palm, turning the coin over to stare at the faces upon each side. Sebastian knew well what it was. Though such coins were scarcely relevant now a days - the simple coin held a plethora of meanings in his day and age. From young lovers before men went to sea to a sign of favor the lords and ladies vied for from Queen Victoria and her royal court. Such coins were so often worn with the intent to be noticed by those of lower positions in an effort to raise their status in court. His own father had received but one that Sebastian was aware of though it had taken months of careful and meticulous pleasing of the Marquees before he had parted with such a gift. That Sebastian himself might be holding one within his own fingertips, and that of a king's on top of it, was entirely unexpected. Minor lords like he could have never hoped to ever receive anything such as this. Even if the tradition had long since died out.
The sound of Dorian's voice pulled his gaze away from the extravagant coin and back towards the fairy King. His companion's admittance that the coin itself would hardly do much for him within the present day caused Sebastian to shake his head ever so slightly. "No, please, Dorian. It doesn't matter what it can or cannot do for me." He explained quite quickly. After all, Sebastian had always been the sort of man to make him own way in life. Despite his low position, he had risen with charm, etiquette, wealth and certainly appearances to become perhaps one of the most wanted bachelors in Her Majesty's court. The man had always banked upon his own abilities then the favor bestowed upon him, entirely due to the simple fact that he knew such favor was entirely fleeting. Were they still within such an age, it was unlikely that even that he would boost his own connection to the King. "I will treasure it all the same." Sebastian made a point to clarify, "Thank you." After all, the vampire was hardly oblivious to the meaning the coin might have held and the suggestion that perhaps - there might continue to be more nights just like tonight.
