Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
More often than not, the vampire chose simply to ignore the prospect that he was surely not the only one within Dorian's life. It was by far the easiest manner at which to keep those altogether peculiar feelings of jealousy and possessiveness at bay. It was bizarre for the Englishman to feel even the trendles of such emotions and still, though he had accepted such desires towards the arguably handsome King, it caught him off guard. He wanted Dorian all for himself, even though he too knew well that he would be entirely unable to offer his companion the same thing in return. His very nature, this life from blood entirely ceased any silly notions of exclusiveness. Even if his feelings were returned, which he was assured they would not be, he could hardly offer the steadfastness and loyalty which he was certain the King deserved. And so, instead, Sebastian more often than not fell silent on such desires, merely accepting his fate to be but a moment in time. This vaguest mention of them as it was caused the vampire far more discomfort than he was willing to admit, his crystalline blue eyes turning from his companion in an unconscious but entirely pointed gesture.
He was hardly oblivious to the momentary silence that came in the wake of such a sentence though the vampire remained decidedly still, waiting only for the words that he had hoped for - simple and to the point. "Thank you." He offered with a small nod, his gaze but briefly flickering towards his companion only for the vampire to instead make his way towards his closet. It was perhaps obvious how utterly nervous such a previous conversation had made him, Sebastian entirely grateful for the was Dorian too seemed to dismiss the topic all together to instead allow the pair to return so effortlessly back to the comfort they had once so easily found within each other's simple presence. Sebastian focused entirely upon the buttoning of his own shirt, hardly minding the line of questioning his companion inquired after. A soft sound left his lips as the vampire nodded, continuing only to offer exactly what information he believed his lover sought. "Mmhm, he was the Viscount of Lincolnshire and given the title of Earl by her Majesty." He paused at the top of his shirt, adjusting his collar before moving to join his companion in front of the mirror. "I am but a Baron in her grace's court. It is hard to keep titles when your presumed dead, much less when court itself followed the same fate." It was, perhaps, the most dejecting part of the way the world had changed. There was no longer room in this modern life for the etiquette and morals Sebastian grew up with.
Thankfully, Sebastian was easily able to chase such thoughts away instead with the a more intriguing concept - one of perfumes. Sebastian himself held quite a few of those ornate bottles, enjoying the delicious scents and how they so reacted with his own body's chemistry. After discovering his aptitude with pheromones, he had quite enjoyed the additional complexity that cologne had interacting with his body's ever changing chemistry, much less finding that which he could alter while still smelling utterly delicious. It was a puzzle the man enjoyed far more than perhaps others might have. He hardly bothered mentioning his own extensive interest in the liquids however, beyond simply plucking from his horde the scent he thought might too best compliment Dorian. A small simper touched his features at Dorian's soft utterance that the scent he wore so reminded the fairy King of himself. It was perhaps a fact he particularly enjoyed - that a single scent might forever remind his companion of these moments they'd spent together.
He watched silently as his companion applied the cologne in the same fashion Sebastian himself did before gesturing toward the door. The vampire himself hardly hesitated before leading the way out into the hallway and down the stairs. After all, he had every intention of seeing through whatever in the park so intrigued his lover. At least, such was his plan before Dorian's voice interrupted. His eyebrows rose ever so slightly as the fairy again disappeared into the depths of his home. His lips pressed together in thought, the vampire entirely aware of how utterly atypical such an action was and yet, Dorian was perhaps the only individual with whom he would allow such a decidedly improper thing from. Sebastian remained patiently upon the welcome mat of his own home, simply waiting for his companion to return with what he could only assume Dorian had left behind, not that he could remember the fairy bringing anything with him in the first place. A quizzical look brushed the man's features when his companion once again joined him with that all too warm smile, his momentary confusion only further increasing when his very own manservant stepped out to pass a napkin filled with something to Dorian.
For all his concern, Sebastian had hardly expected his companion to so immediately set about soothing his worry. A soft simper crossed the vampires features at the unfolded sandwich he was shown, the vampire hardly unable to deny how much such a small action so peculiarly touched him. The sensation of the fairy King's lips upon his jaw only further saw that simper remain ever present upon his features, his own words offering the same soft whisper in return, "Thank you, Dorian." He leaned forward, bushing his lips against the Fairy King's in a small display of his affections and appreciation. The Englishman however hardly spoke a further word on the topic, instead falling into step with his companion as the headed, quite literally, to the opposite side of town. Sebastian's crystalline gaze glanced towards his companion at this notion of the man's newest idea, his eyebrows rising once again. "Another already?" He inquired and yet, the man found himself truly enjoying every idea his lover has offered him to date. "Do entertain me."
