South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Growing up on the streets as a young teenager, Emmy had learned to fight from a very young age. While she didn't necessarily enjoy fighting, she used it as a means to protect herself. That's also why she carried a dagger and a samurai sword. It made her feel safe and she was quick to use the instruments when she needed to. Unfortunately, this very large man had her hands grasped above her head with one had, his other reaching for her bag. Even in this compromising position, Emmy was quick to kick her attacking, trying to kick whatever she could reach. She knew she'd hit him in the groin just based on how the breath was quickly knocked out of him. But he kept coming so she kept fighting.

Eventually, she felt someone rip away her attacker, her body falling to the sand below. She quickly reached for her dagger and held it up towards the two men fighting. When the original attacker ran away quickly, Emmy wondered why kind of creature could scare away a grown ass man so easily with nothing more than a simple snarl.

As he turned towards Emmy, she could see that he was a vampire â€" something she'd not encountered yet in this place. She wasn't sure how to act or how to kill vampires. She simply held her dagger, frozen in place. Would this vampire decide to kill her? Would he drain her blood? Fear continued to ripple through her body, fueling the tornado that was now reaching the shoreline, it's path still on course.

It wasn't until she felt the male's hand on her shoulder and his words that she snapped form her trance. She scurried back from him on the beach, dagger still poised. However, the sudden break in concentration was just enough to cause her eyes to return to normal, the tornado finally slowing and eventually sucking back up into the clouds. "Get away!" She drew herself to a standing position, replacing her dagger and reaching behind her to pull her sword from its sheath. She kept the sword poised on the man, hoping to god that her sword was silver should this man decide to come near her.

Eyes were focused on him as she slowly took a step back to distance herself from him further. "What are you?" His touch was cold and it was something she would never forget. Her inexperience in this world was showing, and it was proving to be very unbecoming. She looked so young and innocent here, it was clear now why so many were trying to take advantage of her. Emmy was usually a kind soul and rather accepting...but when too many people try to take advantage of her, she became defensive. Maybe this gentleman could change her perception of others. Just maybe.
