The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.
The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.
Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

It was a nice night and for some odd reason, he didn't even want to drink tonight. Maybe it had something to do with his funds starting to run a little low. He would end up needing to get a job soon but he didn't want to think about that tonight. No, tonight was going to be a low key kind of night, a time for relaxation and just enjoying the sights and smells that Sacrosanct had to offer. Except that smell of putrid garbage. That, he'd like to avoid. He put his sleeve over his nose to help cover the smell as he moved away from the alley and in the direction of the park. There shouldn't be too many people there this time of night. The sun had gone down two hours ago and the kids were all called inside for the night. He was starting to notice a few odd things about the city. It was like there was some unheard of curfew that made the parents cautious of their children when the sun went down. In most towns, he was used to seeing kids out playing with flashlights, playing hide and seek and laser tag and all those other glow in the dark games. But here....nothing. It was like there was something he was missing. Oh well, towns and their superstitions. He was sure he'd even seen a garlic clove or two hanging from the windows as he walked by. He shook his head with a chuckle. Sticking his hands in his pockets, he made his way down the sidewalk, pausing when he saw something glinting on the sidewalk. Looking closer, he saw it was the faded outlines of a hop scotch pattern. He glanced around first to make sure no one was watching. Of course, the place was empty. So he grinned and started hopping through the pattern, even adding in an intricate spin at the end for effect. Chuckling to himself, he ran a hand through his hair. "Still got it." He murmured as he continued walking down the sidewalk. He could just make out the outlines of the swingset from here so he headed toward it, seeing a few street lights on to light the way. Sighing as he sat on the swing, he kicked off and started swinging. At first it was just leisurely, but then he picked up speed. It became like a silent competition to him. He went faster and higher. The frame was already starting to vibrate and shake with his weight as he pushed higher and higher, going even above the frame itself. He closed his eyes for a minute, just enjoying the childhood moment before he kicked forward one more time. Then he exhaled to steel himself and launched himself off the swing, doing a full front flip before he landed shakily on his feet in the sand. "Whew!" He threw up his hands like an olympian finishing their performance, his breathing a little rapid before he hissed air through his teeth and put a hand on his side. "Ow, cramp, cramp. Man, it's been forever since I've done that." |
