The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

PhD in Plant Biology Abigail Hughes
She was well on her way to tracking the deer when she came across a bloody scene. She had tracked it out into an open part of the forest and there were lots of scuff marks here like a fight had broke out and not too long ago. She could smell another Were here and the smell was familiar but she couldn't quite place it. What she could tell was that it was big, whatever the Were was. The paw prints it left were as big as any Grizzly, not just a wolf or cat or whatever. Malia kept sniffing around and it didn't take her long to find the Hunter's mangled body. She made sure he was dead by nudging his bloodied body with her nose and when he didn't move, she went back to investigating, checking out the wounds that covered his body. It was like someome had tried to bite him in two. It was quite the horrifying scene, but Malia didn't scare easy. She was just curious as to why the Were did it. Surely the Hunter was trying to kill them and they defended themselves. She could smell the blood of something other than the Hunter here. It was the Were's blood, so they were wounded too. It didn't look like enough blood to be fatal but Malia she could at least see if they needed some aid before she continued her hunt. She continued tracking both the deer and the Were now since it seemed that they were both going in the same direction. Maybe the Were was on the hunt for food now. Malia would have kept going if she didn't catch the movement to her right. Her head snapped around and she pricked her ears toward the extra large she-wolf that was lying on the ground, head tilted up as if to howl but she was only staring at the moon. Her ears flicked back and forth uncertainly, not sure how close she wanted to be in case the wolf snapped but she figured she could talk to her from here. Her tail swished behind her as she took one step toward the wolf and stopped. "Hey, you okay over there? I can smell your blood from here." |
