South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

Wake up to your dreams
And watch them come true

"Well you looked quite adept at it anyhow." Nadya commented with a chuckle at Ashton's modesty and shook his hand in introduction. Izzy ceased her play to peer quizzically at the man's offered hand. Her gaze glanced towards her mother who simply nodded in assurance, gesturing for the child to 'go ahead'. Izzy though wasn't exactly sure what it was she was supposed to do so plopped some of her sandcastle sand into his hand. She was happy to return to her play once she thought her job was done. Micah for the most part was still shy, eyeing the new person, but at least he wasn't shying away as much anymore; perhaps it was the soft reassuring tone that Ashton presented him with.

Nadya readjusted Micah on her hip as she took a small crack at identifying Ashton's accent. She had heard a few during her and Frost's trip abroad, none of which matched his. "South Carolina? Is that where you learned to surf? I didn't know there were beaches in those parts." The image of a surfer wasn't exactly the first thing that came to mind when you thought of a southern farm state. "Me? Well..." Nadya had to debate for a moment on just how much she could tell. Ashton wasn't a hunter so why should she worry about telling him where she had been so long as she didn't divulge in the why. "Iceland mostly, my boyfriend is from there and I wanted to see his homeland. Our return trip took us briefly to Europe but I liked France the most- their fashion is really intriguing." Her previous dancing business meant fashion and alluring outfits had been a big part of her life.

"Izzy stay out of there!" Nadya's reminiscing was cut short by seeing Izzy's little fingers lifting the lid to Ashton's cooler. Izzy paused, looking back at her mother, "I'm hungry." "That's not yours, yours is over in your box. You can go get it and then come back here." And just like that, mother and daughter were in a stare-down. Damn the threes to hell. For a moment Nadya wasn't quite sure how this was going to end- if Izzy would back down or if a tantrum was imminent. Luckily Izzy chose to behave, at least somewhat, lowering the lid of the cooler and marching with stomping pout over to their blanket where their lunch cooler sat. The tension notably left Nadya's shoulders with a sigh, returning her attention back to Ashton. "Children are great, right?" She shook her head slightly though there would always still be love in her eyes and heart no matter how much she had to battle with her daughter.

"So, Ashton the surfer from South Carolina, what is it that brought you to our dear Sacrosanct?" Nadya's gaze hardly flickered to the corner of her eye seeing Izzy trudge back over to them, plopping back down on the surfboard with a huff and her hand in a bag of goldfish. "I can't say our weather is exactly a moving attraction either."
