Nadya a grateful that the hunter was more preoccupied in fixing the colt's halter than bothering them any longer, allowing Frost to press forward. Even with his response to her question she still couldn't see how it would be right to leave them behind. Eventually everything lost value. What about when they got too old to fight? What if they got too sick? Nadya's gaze traveled over the horses that peered quizzically at them as they wandered down the middle of that stable. Their lives were reduced to simply being prized animals more than humans. Even with the condition some were kept in, how different was it than a prized hog at the state fair? Those were well cared for too until they were sold to the highest bidder to become food.
She bit her tongue until they reached another set of gates. Nadya glanced down at Frost but once more did as she was told, voicing those intentions to the hunter that bothered to look away from the screen. She supposed once you were in the encampment there was little for the hunters up there to question. Nadya eyed the fence once inside, disappearing into the horizon on either side of them. "Children are trusting, they look to the adults on how to react. It's hardly your fault if no one pointed it out to you. How big is this enclosure? Are there guards stationed around it?" Her mind was already mulling over if possible to simply get the people out from under or over the fence if there was a weak spot along it. That certainly would be much easier than trying to go back through the camp to the front door.
Nadya's body tensed slightly at the sudden call of Frost's name. Surely any in here would mean well. That alone was answered when the woman threw her arms around Frost's neck. Nadya's brow quirked, knowing full well how he was with affection such as that. It had taken quite some time for Frost's body not to automatically tense at even her touch. Slowly Nadya slid from the saddle, glad for her feet to finally be touching solid ground, though she kept close to Frost's side. She was in his world now after all. Her gaze flickered from Frost to the woman, offering a small smile in greeting. "It's been a long journey and I'd like to take this off of him. Is there a secure place we can go that he can shift?" She motioned to the riding equipment still strapped to her boyfriend.
