That last statement was said quite firmly. Although Tobias' feet was mounted heavily with thick skin that didn't mean he was going to be able to walk across the African safari without a pair of socks on. What if he developed blisters? What if some sort of bug crawled in there? She loved him quite dearly, but she had no intention of rubbing and washing his feet. It wasn't that she was against pampering her mate or touching his feet. The lupine just didn't have a desire to. She already had a bit of a difficult time trying to get the boy to take a shower or get his hair washed. Besides if he was so concerned about his own feet then he should be more aware of her own. Even though she was a girl that didn't necessarily she was accustomed to following social norms went it came to how a woman should make herself presentable.
Lacing up her hiking boots she held his hand as they walked over towards the lobby. Gesturing over to the food that was set out for them, knowing both sides of him loved food, she focused on the other task at hand. Getting the supplies they would need for their car riding adventure. Finding the boy eating probably his 11th strip of bacon she held the map, key, and picnic basket, to motivate him to leave the rest of the food alone. Grinning she held his hand as they walked out of the lobby, down the tree, and off to the carpark. Once he found their car she was going to head towards the passenger door until he stepped forward first and opened the door for her. A small simper appeared at the gesture, remembering that wintery night when he did this for the first time for her. Giving him a light kiss on the cheek she slid into her seat. Turning around she placed the picnic basket on the floor behind her seat, and then turned back around to shut her down. Pulling the seatbelt across she chuckled softly the moment he turned on the car, that wide grin on his face clearly showing how excited he was to drive. Nodding that she was indeed ready she started to open up the map to look for that trail he had in mind. The mention of having her phone caused to try pluck it from her pocket, attempting to look up the answer.
Blue-grey eyes watched as Tobias made some adjustments turning left onto the red trail. She would look down at the map, keeping an eye on the route. She would look back up at the landscape, sighing softly in peace. It was absolutely beautiful, unlike anything she had seen before. There were some the different prey animals with hooves scampering about through the tall grass. Signaling up ahead for him to take a left, her body leaned to the left as he did his turn, shifting into another gear as the truck ambled along. His inquiry about wanting to live elsewhere made her tilt her head thoughtfully for a moment. The idea of them no longer living at the Ark with their pack wasn't something that crossed her mind. As far as she was aware all was all right in her world to live on that old container ship. If Tetradore decided to move the pack somewhere else she would happily follow along. Her mate didn't seem troubled by living in the city. But she was curious as to why he would bring it up, there had to be a reason. Finding no harm in answering his question she shrugged her shoulders and replied.
It may seem like a depressing answer, but it was the truth. Although she doubted her mate wanted to think about those painful years she had endured, so she hastily attempted to move the conversation forward.
Turning her head around to look at him she tossed the question right back at him.
