The young woman couldn't help, but feel a little bit jittery as she drove herself and her husband to her doctor's appointment. Raven had no idea how this little rendezvous was going to go, but she hoped it would go well. She needed this trip to go well. After all, she didn't want to be alone in the delivery room. The idea of going through that ordeal alone terrified her. What happened if something went wrong? Neonatal death was a 1% chance. As for the Mother, about 700 of them die after pregnancy. With her inability to heal herself like a normal Were, well surely her chances of something going wrong must increase. Not that she expected to die of course, but knowing her luck she wouldn't be surprised if something bad did happen to herself or their child. Having Tobias with her would be very reassuring. To help him understand or at the very least be familiar, she thought it was best to start slow. Thus, a simple trip for a mother and child check-up. Although this particular check-up would be exciting...they could finally know the gender of their first child. Would it be a boy or a girl? Who knows! One thing they would still have to wait on was just which species the child would be. However, that didn't matter. The only thing that mattered to her was that she and her baby were safe and healthy. With their destination in sight, she slowly drove the car towards the building and parked it into a spot. Pressing the start button to shut off the engine, she looked over to her mate with a small smile.
Once her mate shifted his eyes to meet her own, she took her hand to gently grab his own. Surely, he could feel her anxiety and excitement.
Quietly she waited for her deviant companion to acknowledge what she had said, and to hear him promise her. Once he did that, she would squeeze his hand gently, and then let go. Unbuckling her seatbelt, she took a deep breath and then opened the door, slowly climbing out. Closing the door shut she walked to the front of the car, meeting her husband and extending her hand to hold his own, hearing the car's alarm beep stating the car was locked. Somehow, she would need to explain to Tetradore that she would need a different sort of vehicle in the next few months. The sliding doors instantly opened and she easily walked over towards the front desk, giving the receptionist a small smile. Letting go of her husbands' hand, she grabbed one of the pens and started writing her name down, speaking to the receptionist quietly. Turning around she led her husband over towards the waiting room, gesturing for him to sit with her. It didn't take long for a nurse in purple scrubs to open a door on the opposite side of the room, calling out for them, and introducing herself as Heather. With a nod she got up and started walking towards her, only to stop to turn around and ensure Tobias was following her.
As they were led towards the room, she couldn't help, but wring her hands a little. The nurse opened the door and gestured them inside, letting Raven know she ought to change into the gown, and that she would be in again in a few minutes to start the checkup. The room contained a bed that looked a little bit like a chair with slots at one end. There was a large machine next to the bed like a chair with a screen. On the other side of the room was a small cabinet with a sink, and various medical items sitting in jars. Opposite from the door they just entered, was another door closed. Sitting on the bed like a chair, she gestured for Tobias to sit on the small chair closest to the cabinet and then began to wring her hands. Looking to her husband she realized this was perhaps the first time he was ever in a medical facility. This must be such a strange environment, and being in a strange environment could be very unsettling. Hoping to keep him at ease she spoke up softly.
