South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

My Own Form Of CHAOS

I have keen senses, having honed them after almost 200 years so I know when someone is looking at me. My back may be to her while I remove my soaked shirt but I still know. A small smirk tugs at my lips and I'm confident to still be wearing the expression when I turn back around to face her and wring out my shirt. The moment our eyes meet, she turns her gaze down as if ashamed to be staring and I can't help but wonder how many men she's seen shirtless in her life. She looks down at her own clothing as if possibly contemplating doing the same. That would lead to way too much staring on my end, or at least lots of peeks over my shoulder while I try to play the gentleman and give her some privacy. What? I'm a vampire but I'm also a man with needs. I watch instead while she wrings out her shirt and hair instead, the disappointment barely masked behind my eyes.

She tells me that she doesn't in answer to my question about a blow dryer, pointing out her own wet clothes. I smirk softly and toss her the keys to my car, waiting to see her reaction to driving a classic muscle car. She looks a little confused at first but then her eyes find the car and she looks a little affronted, coaxing my eyebrow to rise in amusement since I didn't expect this answer. She seems confident about her own knowledge of cars and now I'm looking forward to the challenge set down before me.

"Do tell."

I purr back in return, my own voice a deep animalistic growl from my throat as I walk toward her and the car. We move toward the car and I instinctively go to the driver's side, vouching instead to open the door and hold out my hand, palm up, to help her into the car.

"M'lady."

I say in a sing song gentleman's tone as I help her into the car before going around to the passenger side. As I slide into the passenger seat beside her, I squirm a little, having to get used to this since I've never been on this side of the car before except to clean. But when I look over at her, it makes it all worth it, the excitement so obvious across her delicate features. She turns the engine over and it purrs to life like a kitten waking up from a nap. Of course a lion cub would be more like it with all the tune ups and money I've put into this thing. She seems lost in thought for a few minutes as if remembering something but I watch her pull out of it with a feeling of relief since she seemed to be going downhill in the emotions department with whatever road she was on. As she turns to me, the smile she gives is something altogether new for her and it causes my eyes to darken with renewed interest. What's this?

She coos words of warning or promise at me, I'm not sure which, and my mind is suddenly fumbling a bit. Then she hits the gas and I lean back in my seat, trying not to look nervous though I can recognize the start of the feeling. I gain my balance and watch the road as she drives but I feel myself relaxing after a few minutes of her graceful maneuvering through the curves as I point out roads for her to go down. I get her down the back roads, not minding the dirt hitting my tires. I don't mind cleaning, it's an odd habit of mine. I like to clean my house and my car. Some would call me a neat freak, though I'm not OCD about it or anything. She finally turns to me and asks where we're going. I give her a sly smirk.

"All in good time, babe, all in good time."

I purr the words, turning back to the road just as something big and not natural slithers out of the grass.

"Isolt, watch out!"

I call, already leaning across the seat to shield her body from the impact. Neither one of us thought to put our seat belts on so my immediate thought is of her going through the windshield. Of course, common sense dictates that we're immortal and she'll heal but I find myself a little overly protective when it comes to her. I lean across her, grabbing onto her door handle with all my strength, gritting my teeth as we collide with the snake. We manage to get over it somehow though it's no small speed bump and I manage to grab the wheel with my other hand and turn it so that the car goes to the side of the road. I figure she'll hit the brakes and only when we stop do I slowly straighten up in my seat, my jaw stll clenched from frustration. One would think that I'm frustrated about what damage could have just happened to my car but really I'm just more pissed that Isolt almost got hurt.

I blow out a breath and look at her, my eyes wide and soft.

"You okay?"

I wait for her reply before I get out of the car, slamming the door in my frustration as I turn to look at what we hit. The snake is curled up on the side of the road and I stop a few feet away, sighing as I bring both hands up and run them through my hair.

"What the....why is there an anaconda in the road?!"

It's more an exclamation than a question, throwing my head back as a growl surfaces in my throat. I glance at Isolt, wondering what she thinks of this odd situation.

"Any ideas?"
