South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The stars in their orbits

and the stars in their orbits shone pale through the lightof the brighter, colder moon

It had been quite a while since she had interacted with another Were outside of Tobias. His attention as of late kept Nadya fairly close to him instead of seeking out socializing elsewhere. It was still unknown if such the calm between them would last after the birth but for right now it was a content bond between the two pack mates. She had only been in the outskirts due to the growing restlessness that had overtaken her. There was not much more to be done, the crib and other supplies bought and set up in her room left Nadya wandering around feeling uncomfortably large. The shift into her Were form was getting more and more difficult and she could tell it would soon cease in order to prevent harm to the babies. Nadya wanted to run and feel the freedom that her Were form gave at least one last time. Of course it wasn't hard to miss a black panther in the blank powder of snow which made hunting difficult but also a welcome challenge. She had thought she would be alone because of the weather, catch her supper and go home to cook it...but no, not only did she lose the hare but ran into a new face.

At first glance upon the little fox Nadya thought it had been Alexis, a werefox she hadn't seen in ages and thought had left town long ago, but upon further studying she saw the many differences. This fox was smaller if only just barely meaning she was younger and her color was different with its molting colors, and of course there was her scent which wasn't laced with as much fear as Alexis' had been. Caution was a good thing when meeting a larger animal but it didn't necessarily mean fear. The snow crunched beneath Nadya's paws shifting forward as she stood, head down and stretched forward slightly in curiosity of the new Were. There were Weres of all species so you would think a fox wouldn't be such an interesting sight but Nadya's world had been fairly limited and didn't encounter anything smaller than herself besides Alexis. The felines' golden eyes followed Claire's petite form confidently stride over and plop down her prized vole before quickly retreating out of reach. Curious indeed.

Nadya's head tilted, eyeing the dead vole stain the snow beneath it light red, "I don't need your vole." It was a simple matter-of-fact statement with no disdain. When her attention left the vole it drifted down to the fluffy tail curled around the fox ruffled and twitching like a toy when Claire wrapped it around herself to sit. Nadya may be a Were but in her feline form, depending on how long she had been in it, the feline tendencies came out and just like Tobias she had a fascination for fox tails. Her massive body tensed on instinct, golden gaze locked on that fluffy appendage just waiting for it to twitch like a lure and start the game of chase. Perhaps lucky for both of them that her delicate voice brushed against her mind once more to distract her from a potentially disastrous first encounter. The muscles beneath her blackened coat relaxed and with a flick of her tail she perched right down mirroring Claire's position.. "I'm Nadya, Beta to the local pack here. Are you on your own?" Making sure there were no larger companions ready to swoop in was more pressing to find out rather than why she was wandering about or how she came to be in Sacrosanct.
