South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.
Home of: The Cavalry

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

Trapped. Mentally and physically she was trapped. Living in the city wasn't something she particularly enjoyed. Living in a home with three floors and 4 walls wasn't necessary an environment that screamed freedom. It was only a matter of time before she destroyed the main floor of her home. The upper levels were inhabitable for the normal human. The hardwood floors scratched from her nails, the old carpet torn, the wallpaper shredded, while the furniture was all battered and broken. Breaking things seemed to release some sort of happiness within her, destroying everything around her was something she could do naturally without much of a thought. It was all in her mind, plagued by her inability to keep control her strong-minded instincts. She was cursed to suffer from the ongoing calls that raged deep within her mind, encouraging her to let loose more and more, to let go of whatever human capability she had and just toss it away. All for the better. All for her to forget the pain. To run away, it was all she was ever good at- running. Yet, as of right now, she could do no such thing. Instead of running. She was stuck in some confounded silver teeth metal trap. No matter how hard she yanked her paw, she couldn't get out. Each time she pulled the teeth would only dig deeper causing pain to shoot up as her growls only deepened. Grey trimmed ears twitched when she heard the sound of the branches moving, hearing how two feet seemed to put pressure on the wood. Tilting her head upwards, black lips peeled back to reveal sharp white ivories that glinted brightly in the pale moonlight.

"Coward...standing in tree...use gun...not good hunter."

That broken voice held a lower tone, words coming out slowly. It was difficult when stuck in this mindset to speak to others not like her. Not many could understand or comprehend just why she was speaking in such a way. Perhaps those with an ignorant mind only thought her has nothing more than a stupid beast, but deep down she was a clever thing- a combination of animal survival and human knowledge. For her, a true predator does kill by making it easy to catch prey. This particular trap was a cheat, not honorable in the time honored tradition of predator vs. prey. Cold calculating eyes watched as he brought the gun up and aimed it at her. Blue-grey eyes looked readily at the barrel of the gun before shifting to his narrowed eyes. Images of her past began to overwhelm her vision. The distant sound of laughter turning into a high pitched scream. The twinges of pain running along her arms, legs and back, old scars tearing open all at once. The others she, the pack turning on her, that feeling of loneliness only spreading as her diseased mind only intensified. Her ears laced back against her head as she snarled, standing her ground, ready for the silver bullets to be the very last pain she would ever feel- before he dealt her the last blow, and perhaps the pain she felt would simply...go away.

As Fate or Destiny, whatever dead reckoning bullshit anyone wanted to believe, a particular girl had accidentally stumbled on the Wolf quite ready to embrace Death. How rude. Her right ear barely twitched when she heard the sound of that fatal twig snap. With a quick snap of her bone, her head pivoted to the side, narrowing her eyes as she noticed the lithe frame of some barefooted girl. As he began to take focus on her, the Wolf ignored the exchanges. Turning around, her back turned, lifting her tail at his cruel comment, in a manner she had learned from some spotted cat. Lowering her neck she would touch the silver trap barely with her nose, that feral mind slowly ebbing away, if only for a moment. Placing her other paw she would bash at it with her other paw, all the while making a ruckus sound, moving her black and grey form around to show she was trying to pull herself out. Seeing the side of the trap, a small bar that once pressed would loose and cause the trap to let go of her paw. Placing her other paw carefully, a terrible cry came out of the beast, filled with excruciating pain. Blood dropped from her paw as she took it out from the damn silver teeth, being careful to not place it down. Sitting back on her haunches, she raised her bad paw closer to her as the other paw moved the leaves and twigs around the trap, to hide that she was free. Whimpering softly at the agonizing ache she felt in her paw. She jumped up, back on her feet when she felt the bullet nearly hit her, landing in the ground far too close for comfort. Whipping her head around, a vicious snarl climbed out of her chest as her hackles rose, limping around to face him, keeping her injured paw low to the ground hiding it from him, unable to see that she was free.

"Nasty boy...evil....males...all males the same...."

That same cold gruff voice broke out, allowing the two to hear just exactly her rattled brain was chanting. As he ordered for the ebony-haired girl to walk towards her, she simply sat there, her bad paw trembling underneath the debris that hid the trap, giving the impression she was still stuck. As the girl and boy got closer, the rumbling growls only intensified. As soon as the girl was standing beside her, she would bring her head to her leg sniffing her curiously, if slightly distracted from the male that was soon about to kill them. She might as well get to know just who she got to share this death with. Gently she would place her muzzle against her thigh, feeling that familiar tug of her savage mind take fold once more. As he approached closer, gun in his hand, she would lift herself back on her good three paws, keeping the injured under the debris. Placing her muzzle on the witch's thigh allowed the beast to pretend, if only for this one occasion, that the witch was something of hers, something she could belong with. The witch was not a friend, nor enemy, and could not be a member of a pack. Yet, her presence allowed the beast to think, if only for a moment, they were together, survival instincts were kicked in. Whispering softly, her voice struggled, her soft voice ended with a warning growl that just reverberated in the back of her throat.

"Girl...should run."

Lifting her muzzle off the girl, she would lower her head to the ground snarling and bearing her teeth once more towards the Dark Hunter. As he began to raise his gun, the beast would move quickly, ignoring the pain she felt in her paw, the charge of energy and adrenaline was fully kicked in at this moment- giving her enough strength to attack if only once. As she leapt at the Hunter her good paw would take an aim to knock the gun out of his paw, giving a high pitched yelp if she felt the silver metal of the gun. Raising her head she would glare up at the Hunter, moving her body, in a way as a shield, to allow the girl a chance to run...should she be smart enough to take it. Perhaps, the troubled girl thought as she took another dive at the Hunter, all the pain she ever felt in her life would finally disappear.
