The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.
The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.
Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.
The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. Darien was walking, but he wasn't entirely there. He was wandering every stress related topic inside his head. What am I gonna do about a job? A place? What about my medicine? Fuck. He starts to feel nauseous from the overwhelming amount of tasks that required his attention and he slowly feels himself begin to slink into that all too familiar black pit of depression.
He's a walking, breathing mess. The happiness he thought this walk would bring is gone. He feels uneasy, and still being new to sensing other supernaturals, he doesn't realize his body was trying to warn him. This wasn't just depression; he was being watched by someone not human.
It was then he sees the last thing he expected - that damn red dodgeball. It was nestled in the nook of a large old tree, sitting there, as if it were judging him. You have to be kidding me? He stops and stares at it in disbelief, hearing behind him little plops in the stream. Normal sounds for where he was at, right? Ones he ignores at first. Just as he's deciding if he should take the damn ball or not, he feels something small and solid hit the back of his head. "The fuck!?" He grabs the back of his skull, turning around to look at the ground and see what exactly just hit him. Rocks, dirt, twigs ... what the hell? If only that was the last scare Darien would receive today, he'd happily skip back to the Shelter. If only.
The sound of someone, or something, landing but a few paces in front of him causes him to actually scream a little and jump in place. Well, a very frightened yell. He was in the forest and before he even saw what made the sound, bears and cougars crossed his mind. All the hairs on every inch of his body, he could feel them stand up the moment he looks at this man, who stood chuckling. It wasn't some wild animal. That nauseous feeling? Yeah, it's still there and worse now.
"Game? Are you the one that threw that at my head? Why?!" His voice expresses his annoyance, and for a moment he thinks that little girl has something to do with this. Even though he was getting a different type of creepy feeling from this man. His instincts weren't lying. In a flash, unnatural in every way, he's gone and Darien hears his voice from behind him now. He turns around to face him, his heart begins to beat rapidly. Darien gets this overwhelming feeling that he shouldn't have his back to this man, ever. Leaning against a tree like he's this big shot! Darien just met him and he already annoyed the hell out of him! Oh, and he's a fucking smartass! Great! He starts to take a step back, and then another .. slowly backing away. He can very faintly smell blood. "Look, I want no trouble." Part of him wanted to say he was just getting back from screwing his mom, but he manages to hold that back.
Before he even has a chance to say anything more, this stranger was onto the next question, one that makes Darien's spine shiver. Help? Hell no! He's gone again, like some cheetah on drugs and Darien loses sight of him. But he knows he's still there, watching. "No, I'm fine, thank you! I'm just, uh, I'm just gonna go now, okay?" The ball! He looks over at the red little ball still sitting there, patiently waiting. But Darien is unsure where the man is now, so he walks with his back to the tree. "I'm just gonna give back my sister her ball."
This man wasn't Fae, he wasn't a witch or warlock or whatever they call themselves. He couldn't be a vampire either, for it was daylight out. Is he a Were? Shit, what else is there? Whatever he was, he just screamed danger and Darien wanted out of here. I don't wanna die in the fucking dirt! He bends down, still with his back to the tree and eyes darting around, trying to see where the hell he went. He picks up the ball, stands up slowly, nervously. "No trouble, see? " Part of him wants to run, but that's what a dumbass would do. Instead, he does the next best thing .. he starts to speed walk, trying to trace his tracks in the wet earth. Go, go, just keep walking and get back. Find some more people! I can't believe I actually want to go find a crowd! Fucking freaks everywhere down here!
