The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Just like any city - Sacrosanct is not without it's deep, dark underbelly. Hidden in the graffiti-ridden streets of the West, behind closed warehouse doors, lies the Black Market. Forever moving, it's nearly impossible to find without knowing someone who knows someone. Anything you desire can be brought for a hefty price within the Black Market - be it drugs, weapons, or lives.
Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.
Bartender Raylin Chike
Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar.
Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

I appreciate everything Nadya has always done for me, from protecting me in that alleyway so long ago to taking me and Raven shopping for clothes, an experience I'd never had before. She's offered me only unyielding friendship no matter what and I wish I knew how to thank her. It's hard to imagine that since I've known her, Nadya has already had two children of her own to raise and has risen in her pack to Beta. I don't know much about the panther alpha, but he wouldn't have given her that rank if he didn't value her opinion. To know that she's offering me pack protection makes me very happy. She values my life when not many others do now a days. I finally got my friend back in Raven but what of Tobias and Tetradore himself? I haven't seen them since the day at the Ark with Frost. She offers me new information and my ears flick back and forth as I take it all in. Aiden? The name sounds so harmless when compared to the monstrous beast I remember from the dock fighting Frost. When she brings up Tobias, my ears flick back and my tail swishes in mild irritation. My lips tighten into a flat line. I don't know how I feel about the leopard right now. I haven't had a chance to confront him about the last time we saw each other. I look down at my paws. "Tobias might be less distracted around me. He shot a harpoon at me the last time he saw me. I think it was because he thought I was an enemy. Aid..the panther might still see me as an enemy. I was....not with a friend of theirs the last time I was at the Ark." I couldn't bring myself to use his name. It sounds like something a friend would use and he probably doesn't see me as a friend after what happened on that dock. From their perspective, it would look like I was with Frost, the one fighting Tetradore. I came with him and left with him. What else could they think? When I admit my crimes to her, she doesn't pull back from me. In fact, she comes closer to comfort me and this time I let her, though I've pushed others away. Nadya has that comforting presence about her like Raven that makes me feel at ease. She tells me that everyone has done things to survive and I nod silently, still looking at my paws. I know that's all I was doing. I didn't kill them because I liked it or because it was fun. I killed them because they were trying to kill me. I look up when she says that she'll vouche for me and I offer a soft smile. "Thank you. Raven is supposed to be taking me to meet with the pack soon but I don't know how it will go." My brows furrow for a moment and I look at her, suddenly thoughtful. "Hey Nadya? Can I ask you something?" I wait for her answer before I continue, my ears flicking back in case it's a touchy subject. "Do you....like Frost?" Waiting for her reaction, I duck my head a little before explaining. "I'm sorry for being nosy. It's really none of my business. It's just that I've heard rumors since coming back, rumors of his interest in you. I don't know how much you've talked to the others about him and what he's done to the pack. I don't know if they told you that I was with him that day or not. It's most of the reason I haven't approached anyone from the pack since my return. I'm sure they hate me." I scowl, waiting patiently for her reply and hoping I didn't overstep a line of our friendship. |
