West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

i used to rule the world

seas would rise when i gave the word

He despised the Council. There was not a singular organization within the entity of the world that was able to get under his skin in the fashion that the various overseeing councils could so irk him. Once upon a time, the world had regarded him with such high prestige. Once they too had been honored to have them amongst their ranks. And yet, with time it seemed as if they had forgotten his worth and to, his own interest in them in turn began to wane with each never ending day that came to pass. Now, they were in that cycle they were once every few centuries where he was forced to prove, once again, why history regarded him with such admiration. As if the hundreds of vampires he had murdered in Syria had not been enough for them - they had put him here, chasing a were throughout the western neighborhoods of the city. Rumors had it the were that had named himself King of this dilapidated half of town had recently died in some turf war. Still, even the Council hadn't anticipated the way in which his death had sent ripples across the were-community. Where there was a hole to be filled, many within the animal world rose up to challenge.

His feet collided solidly with the top of the roof, the man running forward without hesitation. He held out his hand, a knife so appearing with his grasp as he chased the Elk across the cement of the apartment building. He knew innately where the creature would go next, his own feet veering with ease to the same side the antlered animal did and with a purposeful movements, Alexander leapt with the same ease across that long length between the buildings, those hooves and booted feet slammed into the warehouse building at that exact same moment. It was with a flick of his wrist that his dagger went so flying, his feet slipped for a precarious moment upon that slanted roof, sending that dagger wide. A soft curse left his lips as he regained his footing right on the edge of that building, his heel hoving in open air. Still, it was that singular moment that caused Alexander to look down, noticing beneath him a wealth of brunette locks and a figure he certainly couldn't have misplaced. His lips pressed into a tight line as he watched her and the male that approached her from behind, grabbing her in a fashion that irked Alexander perhaps more than the Council sending him here within the first place.

He turned back towards the prey that had just jumped over the top arch of the building he stood upon and for a moment, Alexander was left with a terrible choice. His hand reached out once again and yet, this time, it was a spear that materialized within his fingertips. He stood perfectly still within that moment, simply listening to the sound of hooves upon the other side of the roof, adjusting his position ever so slightly with the ease that came with millenniums of excelling in the art of war. He knew the Elk was coming to the end of the roof, he could hear the hard thud as his back feet pushed off from the tin roof and in that moment, that spear so left his fingers, sailing through the air. It was with such confidence that Alexander turned his back upon the Elk, a small twitch crossed his lips at that resounding sound of a thud in the alley next over, the body clearly falling from the rooftops. It had been a solid hit and yet, for once, Alexander hardly turned to ensure his querry's death. Rather, the man dropped to the fire escape below, that second spear already within his fingertips, fully prepared to deal with the soul that had so idiotically seen fit to lay even a finger upon the woman he had unofficially claimed as his own.

What he hadn't expected, however, was the choking sob the moment his feet landed on the metal fire escape. He leaned over the edge of the railing, survey the scene beneath him with a hint of amusement upon his features. A soft chuckle echoed in his throat, the sound surely audible as the man finally saw fit to speak. "And here I thought I was going to have to save you." His blue-green gaze remained steady upon Alexis alone, caring particularly little for the man at the point of her arrow, much less for what she chose to do with him. His life, after all, his reputation, had been made upon the deaths of others. This one surely as meaningless as the many that came before it.
