West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

She shifted uncomfortably beneath his gaze, feeling more than ever the itchiness of the clothes on her back. She hated the idea of clothes, more than once taking to residing in her room naked when no one was looking if only to feel comfortable and free for once. It was the closest thing to being in her coyote skin and she embraced it. She only wore clothes in public because Frost had assured her that she would end up locked in a cage if she went around naked on the streets. She almost was tempted to test the theory but the thought of cage bars around her just made her feel claustrophobic so then she'd talk herself out of it. When she admitted that she'd watched a woman use the washer and dryer at the laundromat once, he sighed and she arched a brow, wondering if that was a good sigh or a bad sigh. She wasn't even sure if it was the washer or the dryer but she saw the woman throw her clothes in the front and push a button and it magically started. She'd gotten distracted simply watching the clothes spin through the clear door for a good few minutes before she was able to knock herself out of it and walk away.

He told her he wanted to show her how to use it and she scowled, obviously displeased at this notion. The look turned into an offended glare when he said she might flood the house. She wanted to deny it but she was more surprised that the machine could actually do that in the first place. Then he asked if she was busy tonight and she thought for a moment. Could she actually convince him that she did in fact have some very busy plans tonight that might extend well past the morning hours and she didn't know when she'd have time? Would he fall for it? Probably not. She scowled, her brows furrowing as she sighed. "I guess not. But will it take long? I have a short attention span." Maybe that would throw him off. He seemed very adamant about where she was going, his gaze intense like he could see right through her or something. It made her far too uncomfortable. He didn't look too convinced when she told him that she was just wandering but it wasn't far from the truth. She was avoiding others, silently drowning in her own misery for what she'd done to Caesar and the only family she'd ever known before finding out what she really was.

She expected that he would hear her low tone as she talked about running into her former pack. She refused to look up at him at first, but then he surprised her, saying that her laundry offences could be forgiven tonight and her head snapped up, blinking at him in surprise. Her gae was almost suspicious. Just like that? He leaned against the railing and her brow arched as he moved his hair aside, giving her a glimpse of that other eye. She had already surmised that he might be blind in it when she'd seen it in his horse form. He reacted as someone stronger on one side than the other but instead of it hindering him, he had found strength in his other senses during their fight and she respected that. Then he asked a question and she wasn't expecting that, air hissing through her teeth as her hand tightened around the strap of the bag. Why? Then she realized the answer was pretty easy, actually. She shrugged. "Familiarity. I've been learning new things every day about what it is to be a were and part human. It gets overwhelming sometimes, like my brain can't hold it all. It's frustrating to feel so dumb. I wandered into their territory like it was second nature. I think I was just looking for something known, something familiar." She met his gaze curiously, wondering what he would take from that.

Would he be mad, think she was planning on leaving his pack? She would never do that, especially not to go back. She could never go back to simply being a coyote after everything she knew now. He seemed only patient and curious as he waited for her answer so she hoped it would satisfy his curiosity. Maybe it would fall short of his expectations of her, or maybe not. Then he told her a story, a story she hardly expected to hear. He told her of the pack he'd come from, how there were generations of horses like him, weres that knew they were weres and they changed back and forth but stayed closed off from the world around them, seeking to be solitary. She tilted her head, thoughtful for a minute. Then she looked back up at him. "How did you know? To leave. If you grew up like that, what would make you see the difference, want more? I always knew I was different from the others because I changed them. The way they thought, the way they hunted, the way they took territory. I evolved them. But I never would have thought to seek anything different until I met...." She didn't know if it was wise to bring up Tetradore, one of the first weres she'd ever met. She felt Raven was a part of his pack too probably since she'd never seen her with Frost so probably not good to bring her up either.

"I denied my very nature for a while and I probably would have continued if I hadn't been captured and shifted accidentally." He gave her time to process before he told her more of his former pack. She was greedy for the information, anything that would give her more clues into the guy that made up her alpha. It was surprising really to know he was so much like her at first. He seemed so natural in the human world that she never would have guessed. He told her that she didn't need them and she looked down again. She knew he was right but it was still hard, still painful. They were once her family, all she ever knew. And now they were her past. They had shaped her into who she was, but now she was reshaping herself with new knowledge. It felt odd and wrong and oh so right all at the same time. She sighed before looking back up. "It's just hard sometimes..being human. Frustrating. Everyone is smarter than me. Everyone is unpredictable. I feel dangers all around me all the time and then I get laughed at when I react accordingly. Humans are cruel and I can't just bite them to make them understand. I feel like I'm losing myself sometimes." It was hard to say it out loud but every bit of it was true. She searched his gaze, wondering if he'd call her weak. Tell her to toughen up, rub some dirt in it.
