The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Just like any city - Sacrosanct is not without it's deep, dark underbelly. Hidden in the graffiti-ridden streets of the West, behind closed warehouse doors, lies the Black Market. Forever moving, it's nearly impossible to find without knowing someone who knows someone. Anything you desire can be brought for a hefty price within the Black Market - be it drugs, weapons, or lives.
Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar.
Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

He was quiet all the way to his bedroom and it only gave her more time to think and worry. She knew that what she'd done wasn't a simple matter, especially when it came to the Alpha of the pack. She had toed the line. Hell, she had walked all over it in her agitation to get some answers from Tetradore. Maybe he would be thought of as weak now because he had backed down from a fight to go talk to her. Maybe he would have to fight off two or three challengers now and that would be her fault. She trembled at the thought of it. She wouldn't mind even taking his place, showing a few of those no good Were's just where they belonged. She loved to fight. The energy, the taste of blood in her mouth. It drove her wild in a good way. The thought of Tetradore all covered in bruises in blood though, that didn't make her feel good. It made her wish she had picked a better time to come talk to him. Her and her selfish needs. But she let him have it as soon as he asked what was on her mind. The instant scowl on his lips didn't make her feel any better and then he said that she must have been talking to Nadya and she let out a breath she didn't know she was holding, ready to let him talk, at least a little. She could at least give him something though. She nodded, her gaze never leaving his. He started pacing and it only fed her own agitation. Her tail swished back and forth behind her as she watched him, her ears pricked as he started to speak. He said that he did support her and try to make her feel safe. His words made it seem like he felt some sense of betrayal when he mentioned her sleeping with his best friend. That must be Tobias, the father of her cubs. Then he sounded betrayed by Nadya when he said that he offered her sanctuary in the Ark when she was being stalked. He made it obvious that she didn't talk about her feelings for the other Alpha then. He was angry now, spitting the words at her about baby proofing the place. He wanted her to know he had tried. Her face softened as he said it. He was showing emotion, something she knew was hard for him. Even Nadya had said that. She could see all the misunderstandings here but she couldn't see whose fault it was, not clearly. Nadya felt he didn't make her feel safe but she wondered now if it was because it wasn't where Nadya wanted to be. He said that he had punished the pack for her. That must include the girl Nadya spoke about that she felt threatened by. She tried thinking from Nadya's point of view. So Tetradore made it clear he didn't know how she felt about Frost. Did she not tell him? Or was it spoken at a time when he didn't listen? She didn't know all the facts and she knew that now. She was speechless, not sure what to say first in that regard. He truly felt that he had done all he could to support his sister and she could see that etched all over his face. And yet she felt he could have done more and she had felt it in the very words Nadya said. It sounded like they needed to talk it out face to face. Without being there, she didn't know what else she could use as proof for either arguement. She decided to let that one go, letting out her breath as Tetradore fixed her with a look before going over to the couch and laying down. He looked every bit like a king in that moment, stretched out across the couch before his face softened and he apologized for taking it out on her. She shook her head and sat down. "I see that. I guess I don't have all the facts and maybe I shouldn't have yelled the side I did hear at you. Sorry, this whole talking thing....I'm still lost." She shrugged, before he said he didn't know what she meant about him not allowing people to talk. She sighed. "I can tell you she didn't want to live in the Ark. She wanted a house to raise her kids in. She didn't like having them by the fighting ring or a wolf that could go feral at any moment. I was told you didn't like her talking to Frost, though I can understand why if you thought he was just stalking her. I guess she should have told you she liked the guy." His next words surprised her. He said that he didn't hate Frost, that he never really did but then he said some of the things Frost did and she tilted her head. Obviously she didn't know that Frost almost killed his pack member. She wondered why. A conversation with Frost for another day. He said Frost tormented his girlfriend and she furrowed her brows. Was she a Were too? Was it pack drama or something more personal? Now she was gaining ammunition against Frost. He was her alpha. She had a right to know. Then he said that Frost was stronger than him and that her and Nadya had chosen well. She growled and shook her head. "Bullshit. You know you're strong or you wouldn't still be here. Still fighting. You would have stepped down a long time ago, or never came back when everyone assumed you were dead. You need to get out of this depression or whatever the hell it is and be the confident alpha you used to be. Before Frost, before your fights with Nadya. Don't let others tell you who and what you are. You're not weak so prove it." She had stood up and stepped closer as she said it, meeting his gaze head on until she was right in front of the couch, staring into his eyes intently. She would not tolerate this kind of talk from him. Even if he wasn't her alpha, she still cared enough that she didn't want to hear him just giving up like that. That wasn't the Tetradore she knew. She couldn't help but snort and roll her eyes as he said that she should remember that he wanted her for his pack. She took a seat on the carpet again. "You should remember that you never even mentioned a pack and I can't read your mind so I didn't know till after I already joined Frost that you even a part of a pack, let alone an Alpha." Then he told her that he had met up with Frost and they had settled their differences. She raised a brow but finally smiled at him in satisfaction, glad that a pack war wasn't on the horizon any time soon. She nodded. "Good. I'm glad to hear it. I only asked because you didn't stop hanging out with me after you found out I was in his pack. Other members have made it seem like it was against some unspoken rule for me to hang out with your or any of your pack once I pledged to Frost. I'm allowed to feel a little insecure sometimes, geeze." She grumbled and moved further away, pacing to the other side of the room again and flopping down on the carpet. "So....why wasn't I ever invited to your famous fight ring? Though I don't know how you do it on this stupid boat. Don't you ever lose your balance?" Her face sobered a little then, remembering how this whole conversation came about. "Sorry that I did that....down there. I didn't think. I just really needed to get some answers. I know you're an Alpha now and I have no right...it's just hard to get my head straight around all this Were stuff sometimes. It's like being born all over again and having to learn the rules." |
