The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

It was always busier on the weekends than weekdays which meant Nadya was juggling not just owner duties but being on stage as well. She had opened the night with one of her numbers, milled about the floor to ensure the customers were taken care of, before retiring to her office to take care of some paperwork before her next routine. Nadya was seated at her desk scrawling across the documents there before one of the fae came bursting through the door looking paler than usual and quite shaken. "There...woman..oh my god, Nadya, she's all bloody and broken...she wants you...emergency." The rush of words from the fae caused confusion to cross Nadya's features before it registered and she bolted up from her chair. Fear gripped the Were as she thought of the only ones who could possibly be requesting her for an emergency. Had the talk with her brother gone south with Alexis? Had the pack been attacked again and Raven here? Oh God, if it was Sam who had been attacked because of being a Queen now.
"Where is she?" Nadya demanded as she swept from the office with the fae to descend down the stairs. "Out back." The fae trembled. Nadya glanced out over the floor and stage at the business continuing on as if nothing was happening. Good, let it remain that way. "Tell the bouncer to come out back and help get her up to my office." The fae nodded before hurrying off to get the bouncer while Nadya slipped backstage and to the backdoor entrance. The moment she swung open that door though and saw who it was lying there she paused. "...Edie?" The fellow Beta would have never made it onto the list of possible people to seek her out when wounded. For a moment Nadya hesitated unsure of what to do before the bouncer emerged next to her and faltered at the sight as well. Nadya seemed to shake herself out of it in order to instruct the burly man, "Be careful, get her up and into my office." The bouncer attempted to be careful as he scooped Edie up and carried her inside. Nadya followed, snatching a robe from one of the racks as they went and threw it over Edie in order to hide her state from the customers as they ascended the stairs.
"There, on the couch." Nadya pointed to the plush couch where the bouncer set Edie down. "You can go wash up then go back to the front, thank you." Easily she dismissed the bouncer before her attention turned to the playpen behind her where the twins babbled happily in play and their caretaker was looking aghast with a hand over her mouth. "Get them out of here..." Nadya instructed firmly, not wanting the twins to see any of this to which the caretaker nodded quickly and gathered the twins before hurrying from the room. Only once they were alone did Nadya look back at Edie with suspicion. "Why....what...-" What in the hell happened was what she wanted to say as she crouched down beside the couch to peel back the robe and inspect the bleeding wounds. "Looks like you bit off more than you could chew again. You know, you may have Frost beat in the amount of damage you have here."
