East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

It wasn't often that Chizue chose to venture into the darkened streets with a complete stranger and yet, there was something about the man at her side that made her feel comfortable. It was an altogether rare sensation, even if that too brought with it it's own share of anxieties and concerns for the demure vampire. She could hardly deny that she was worried that the idea might fail her and that her efforts to so assist her companion in something as simple as finding his place amongst his own kind might be all in vain. After all, what if a failed attempt only served to make him feel somehow worse? Like he might never fit in with those he belonged with? It was silly, perhaps, to fret so terribly over her companion's emotions and yet, such a singular apprehension was altogether defining of the vampire's demeanor. She appreciated the way in which he so attempted to dismiss her worries, reassuring her that, regardless of whether or not this idea panned out, he was willing to venture to this store of peculiarities all the same. She offered the man a small smile at the sound of his voice and in return her head bobbed ever so slightly. Gingerly she pushed her plate away from her, knowing all too well her fellow coworkers would clear the dishes for them. They might not be terribly pleased for bailing on cleaning up but, perhaps, this once it would be okay if she made sure to do extra work tomorrow.

Her dark chocolate eyes glanced downwards as the topic shifted towards those talents she had been forced to leave behind her. It was a sore matter for the young girl. For years that band had been the entirety of her life. They had sold out everywhere, whole competitions had been dedicated to joining their ranks and now, now there was someone else in her place. "Jpop is Japanese pop music. I suppose here it's kind of a niche though." She offered before making an attempt with a flick of her slender wrist to wave off his concern. "It's okay, it was bound to end eventually." And that was the awful truth. Her fall from fame was an inevitability - it merely happened earlier then she had anticipated. Regardless, Chizue was all too quick to put her own woes behind her, instead latching on to the man's own equally as inescapable concern regarding his own immortality. Such explanations of longevity could hardly be made for long before the truth, somehow, came spilling out. A small shrug crossed the girl's shoulders as her fingers folded in front of her. "It might not be so bad you know. Since you're a hunter, they might not be as willing to..." Her voice paused, to what? Abandon him? Toss him aside? How did she word that without coming across as terrible morose? "They might be more willing to accept you." She finished after a moment's thought, her gaze shifting to the man with another small simper of encouragement.

It was only once Kohl had confirmed he was indeed done with his dinner that Chizue rose, motioning with her head for him to join her as she led him out of the tavern without a backwards glance at the building. They wouldn't notice her missing, at least, not until they wanted her to do something they did not. It would take at least half an hour before anyone went searching for her and surely that would be enough time. "It's this way." She stated pointing down the street and with a lackadaisical pace, the Asian girl led the way further down the street and into the cool, crisp, autumn air. It was only a block and a half way that Chizue stopped in front of a dimly lit store front. The front was black, painted with white whimsical swirls on the panels. The sign above was hard to read, stating quite simply 'The Last Tuesday Society.'. The glass front itself was filled with a plethora of peculiar merchandise from occult books to animal skulls and, in the far corner, there was a mannequin of a woman dressed in a ornate blue dress. "There, do you see them?" Chizue inquired, pointing at the mannequin in the corner of the display. It was her hands in particular that had caught her interest, that silver glinting under the low light. Within those plastic fingertips were carefully positioned three keenly sharpened metal playing cards. The Queen of Hearts was the only card truly visible, her face etched into the silver metal of the card. Her face was skeleton in nature, her hair flowing and lovely, a crown placed upon her head and in her hand she held that heart she was known for. The young vampire glanced up at the man at her side with a glimpse of hopefulness. "What do you think?" She inquired, her voice but a softened whisper.
