Malek Ackerman
You're my water. You're my wine.
It was sobering to see the woman tease him lightly and he couldn't help but offer her a soft smile as he looked down at her. "Did you know dragons used to exist?" he asks her, his accent rolling off his tongue nicely. The vampire had never seen one of course but he had heard of them, even Malek wasn't old enough to say he wandered the earth while dragons wreaked havoc on the world. "I do agree with you, I feel that it would make them more lifelike if the humans were inside of it," he winks at her with a soft chuckle, "Humans were dragons' favorite food," he laughs again as he feels her dainty hands wrap around his arm.
Raising his arm slightly higher to make it more comfortable for the female he continues to pull her along the streets, his eyes darting towards the parade. It was his sudden rush of anger that causes him to hesitate in the street, he was simply hungry- hangry to be exact, and the vampire wasn't quick enough to smother it in time before Chizue noticed. As she says his name, Malek glances down at her, his steely eyes tracing her bottom lip as she chews on it nervously, "Of course, my dear!" he exclaims as he halts their progress entirely, turning to look at her full on. Reaching a hand up to scratch his beard, he then pats her hand lightly, "I'm a bit hungry is all, it's been ages since I've eaten," he smiles apologetically at her, before continuing them on.
"You're very observant, Chizue. I'm surprised you noticed anything was wrong at all," he arches a brow at her in an almost questioning manner but he doesn't push it. Removing his hand from hers, he again pushes through the crowd successfully following the throng of people. They eventually came across vendors, lights strung from one side to the other, delicious smells, if he wasn't a vampire, wafting into the air. Darting a tongue out he exaggerates licking his chops before glancing down at the small vampire wrapped around his arm, "How does your body hold up to human food?" he asks as he drags her towards one of the nearest vendors.
Browsing the steaming food, he tilts his head in curiosity at the circular items, almost like kabobs, on a stick, "Do you know what these are?" he asks Chizue, bringing his steely gaze back to hers.
You're my whiskey. From time to time.
