East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

East

She was bored, plain and simple. Everyone else in the house was getting ready for bed and yet she felt wide awake. Wired, even. She watched the sun dip over the horizon out her bedroom window with a heavy sigh, wondering what the rest of the world was up to. Well, no better way to find out! She practically skipped down the stairs and out the door before anyone could stop her, voting to stay in her human skin this time as she moved down the sidewalk and into town. Not too many people were out in the housing part of town but the further she got into the East side, the more traffic that seemed to fill the sidewalks.

She still felt uncomfortable in big crowds, growling and grumbling at passersby who touched her shoulder or arm on their way by. She hated feeling trapped so she ducked into the first doorway she came to, blinking her eyes to readjust to the dim lighting of the tavern as she looked around. She had seen this place from the streets many times but never dared to go in. She could smell something dead or rotting in here but she could never find the source. The people around her looked normal but that smell was overpowering. Even now, her nose wrinkled and she brought the sleeve of her gray hoodie up to cover it in distaste, turning as if to leave but someone grabbed her shoulder.

She turned on the waitor with lips curled, her hands already balled into fists but the man simply pointed out the bar and said there was a free gift waiting for her there. Scowling at him in question, she moved past him and to the bar, glancing around in suspicion before she took a seat and stared at the drink in front of her. What was in it? She didn't smell fruits like the drinks Tet and Henry got her. Leaning in, she took a whiff and immediately jerked back, her nose crinkling as she turned to look at the guy next to her. "This is that strong stuff. I still don't see how you drink it. Got anything with berry or something in it?"
