There was something truly satisfying about those cupcakes. That combination of carrot and cinnamon and nutmeg with that fine taint of apple within that sugary icing appealed to every part of his being- both equine and man. Frost was, by nature, a decidedly controlled creature and yet when both that equine that rested within himself and too those weaker parts of his human nature saw fit to combine against his will power it seemed there was little hope that he might be capable of preventing himself from falling into the decadent indulgence of those treats. It was a shame, really, that they took so long to prepare and craft- the baker surely would have made more were it feasible and yet the amount that made it to those store shelves each day was pathetically poor in comparison to the sheer number the stallion was content to pilfer. The majority of those wait staff were almost wary of the often surly being, Frost content to continue to purposely unnerve them if only because it prevented them ever daring to suggest he had surely had enough. It was a child's game to play. One that suited his equine nature just as much. Horses one of the few animals capable of truly exploiting fear or uncertainty in a man to their gain. Frost entirely content to continue to keep those staff around him in a state of anxiousness that resulted in a continued supply of those treats. Alexander the single and only being whom refused to be goaded into that falsified illusion of his faked ill intent. The hunter the only one bold enough to take those cakes from him with that promise to make him work it off later.
Today he had managed no less than five cupcakes before that equally stubborn Hunter had cut off his supply with the claim it was hardly good for him. Frost picking at that final one if only to make it last longer before his simple awareness of another presence, another scent, saw him pause. That violet gaze lifted up and away from that cake and towards the Hispanic individual who slid silently into the opposite side of that booth. Tetradore's figure as relaxed as his own in that moment. Neither man, it seemed, content to offer but even a hint of that hostility they had shown on previous occasions. Frost merely watching him through that fringe of snowy hair for several moments with a clear expectation for those words he knew would come. He had been expecting him, after all, ever since Nadya had returned home with that tear-stained façade and the assurance she had no desire to return to her previous family. Frost hardly caring, for now, to involve himself in familial politics when larger curiosities prompted his attention. That sudden query, however, was unanticipated. One eye lifting slightly as his gaze dropped to the cupcake in his own hands. Tetradore eyeing it as if the man had never seen anything like it in all his life. Perhaps he hadn't. Heathens that most carnivores were when it came to vegetables.
"It is a carrot cake. It is made of spices and chocolate. The frosting is cream cheese, those are crushed pecans and that is parsley. If you enjoy sweets you will like it."
Those words were as cool and purposeful as always, his voice so often seeming to lack any true emotion in any sense and yet his fingers moved deftly all the same as Tetradore continued. Frost reaching for the knife to halve that cupcake with methodical ease, the man glancing briefly upward at that mention of a 'truce' though he afforded it no comment. Tetradore's fingers folding that empty paper over in the wake of those words as the stallion seemed to contemplate them in turn. Of all the conversations he had anticipated having within his life- this was not one of them and yet, whatever circumstance had brought the Panther too him, he could hardly deny had prompted his curiosity all the same. Despite what their respective packs might have believed, Frost held truly little true resentment of the other Alpha in any sense. Why should he? Tetradore had done as any Alpha would. That half a cupcake was held abruptly out to the other man now. Frost waiting for Tetradore to take it before that singular Icelandic word fell from his lips- his accent undeniably thick in that moment.
"BÃddu- wait."
That singular word was translated within the same breath, Frost clearly intending to stop the other Alpha before he bit into that treat, the stallion reaching down to pluck a little of that parsley from what remained of his own decorative carrot- the man reaching forward to place it atop Tetradore's cake before waving his hand in that simple 'go ahead' gesture.
"If you are going to eat it, eat it right."
He waited only so long as it took his companion to taste that cake, with all the trimmings, Frost finishing his own half in that same moment, his fingers dusted off easily before his gaze returned in full to the other man before him. His shoulders lifted into a small shrug before his lip quirked ever so slightly in what was clearly some thin vein of amusement. Those words offered then as if they should have been blatantly obvious.
"I am from Iceland. I am Nordic- of course I drink. I can spare you a few hours though, I suppose. I'm interested in how mutually beneficial this can be for us both. Though the fact you think I need a drink to hear it is interesting. Your car it is then."
His hand gestured for the other man to lead the way, Frost sliding from that booth then to follow him, his hands tucked into the pockets of his jacket as he strode out behind the other Alpha. If Tetradore had some elaborate plan to kill them both in a car crash then so be it- he supposed. Frost affording that other man a decide amount of trust in this all the same and yet the stallion held that distinct belief that whatever Tetradore had to say, this time, would be worth his time. His violet gaze fell on to that blue Bugatti that Tetradore led them towards, one eye raising once more as he paused before it. His head turned to the other man again.
"Nice. How fast?"
Cake, it seemed, not their only point of mutual interest this evening.
