East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

My favorite type of turtle

He couldn't help but notice when they discussed food, her eyes sparkled at the mention of cooking. He listened amusingly as she explained the so-called failed attempt at beer stew. Feeling a smile tug at the corners of his lips he thought of a way to perhaps have more encounters with Miya. "Well, if you want an introduction to Italian cuisine be my guest for dinner sometime. It would be a pleasure to teach you some of the recipes of the culture that have been passed down for generations," Ludo smoothly replied. "As for the beer stew, it's best to use just a canned beer. You don't have to get too fancy of a beer for it to taste proper," he smirked playfully at her. "Food has always been more than just survival for me. It was the way my family bonded during my childhood. Creating food is a way to show love. Of course, that means we fueled the Italian stereotype," he chuckled as he stared at Miya.

As he handed his jacket to Miya, her cheeks became a gradient shade of pink as he watches her carefully reach out to grasp the coat and immediately become engulfed within it. Ludo couldn't help himself as he burst with laughter as he watched her roll his sleeves up several times before her hands were even visible again. She really did resemble a turtle now with only her hands sticking out and her head almost enveloped in his jacket. "Cuore mio! (my heart!)" he chortled, placing his hand on his heart as he couldn't get the image of a turtle out of his mind. She was effortlessly cute to him. Before he knew it, the waitress came back and asked her for her order. He wondered what her tastes were like, but he raised an eyebrow as she seemingly frantically asked to have exactly what he was having. "IPA, huh? Unique taste you have miss," he grinned directly at her, leaning in a little closer to the table so his elbow was resting on the table with his palm holding his head.

He listens to her tell about her inexperience's with alcohol. "Well, we'll see how you like this drink," he smiles with a twinkle in his eye. "I'm sure wine would be a great to start with, and there's plenty of pairings with Italian cuisine," he added. "I know, it seems we have the potential to cross paths often with one another," he stared eyeing her moon shaped face and her luminescent pale skin. Before he could study her more, the waitress came back with the beer. He watched as she bowed and grabbed the drink with two hands. Not knowing it was a cultural action of politeness he assumed that was just her own endearing unique mannerisms. He watched as she pressed the cold beer to her soft lips and immediately in response to the taste made a puckered sour face. Smiling he pushes his water glass over to her side and says, "I had a feeling that might not be your pace." "It is a...required taste. Why don't we order some food to help get rid of the flavor? Oh, how about poutine?" he questioned. As he let her browse the menu for a food she might like he tried engaging more conversation getting to know her better.

Searching for a topic he noticed resting by her chair was the clunky messenger bag she had when they first met. "Are you a student somewhere?" asking as he eyed the bag. "You seem to carry a lot around, must be important," he curiously spoke, still trying to find a way to keep in touch with her after this encounter.
