The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Organized into nine verticle zones, each of which features a sky lobby and a light-filled garden atrium which merge the upscale interior with a faux landscaped exterior setting.
There was some strong sense of denial in Arlo over his powers with the power in the club but Damon wasn't going to push him on it, not tonight. If he wanted to blame someone else, so be it. The sooner he accepted what he is and what he can do, the better. He'd be closer to controling them if he tried to understand them but Damon would get to that. It looked like some of his powers were much more easily accepted. He accepted that he could bite vampires and tranquilize them with his venom, that he could electrify anything and teleport. It was only a matter of time before he decided it was time to accept it and move on. Maybe that would last a while but he hoped not. Arlo did seem interested in the offer of help but he was still wary. Damon could tell. Probably because he was in a coven but he would work past that with patience and time. He was trying to earn Arlo's trust, show him that he could be trusted. Show him that he wasn't going to drag him back to his coven and throw him to the dogs, so to speak. When Arlo finally gave him the answer he was waiting for, he told him they started now and was amused with the instant protest from Arlo. He sent some of his energy into the two girls, waking them from their venomous slumber. They would be weak and need to feed but otherwise, they would be okay. He made up a lie about the girl passing out which she accepted with no problem, turning to thank Arlo before she wandered off. He could see the different shades of surprise on the younger vampire's face as he woke his two feeder dolls. At first he looked okay with them leaving but Damon saw the shift in his position as if he was going to grab for one of them so he instantly zapped him with his own energy magic, making it backfire on Arlo like a built in shock collar. Arlo gasped and leaned back in his chair involuntarily, before crying out and Damon chuckled in response. It was even more amusing that Arlo didn't seem to understand what was going on or why his own body was turning on him. He sat there confused for a few moments and instead of giving up his slight of hand, he rested his hin on his hand and watched Arlo , one brow raised as he waited to see what would happen. Suddenly Arlo stood as if to go after one of the girls and Damon hit the switch again, Arlo's parted lips forgotten as he went to stubbornly step forward. Damon was having a blast by this time, his finger swishing in the air like an orchestra leader's wand as the blasts kept hitting the other vampire's body. Arlo suddenly teleported and for a moment Damon thought he might have left him because he figured it out, but suddenly Arlo was in the chair across from him, asking if he was the one doing it. Damon grinned in response. "Negative reinforcement. You're not hungry so why eat? You'll overdo it. You need to pace yourself." |
