Coming to the Inner Sanctum always brought her a sense of relief. After a very busy work week she was always eager to indulge herself with peace, quiet, and tea. However, today she was not coming into the café to seek out those moments of solitude. Rather she was coming to poke a very irritating, and cold-hearted horse. She say a word to Tetradore or Tobias where was she running off to for the day. They didn't need to know. Some would say she was stupid and others would say she was brave. Either way she was here and she wasn't going anywhere until she got the answers she needed. Placing her tea and plate of homemade baked goods down on the table, she wordlessly sat down at the available chair before him, mentally taking a hold of her nerves. Although Frost had nearly killed her, he wasn't the one soul that kept her up at night. Somewhere out there was the man she feared the most, a man she thought was dead. Waiting quietly she stared him down watching him carefully. She doubted very much that he would do anything to inflict pain upon her, especially somewhere in public. His comment about her pack interrupting him during the afternoon was answered with complete silence. Was she a bit nervous to answer? Of course. Though she didn't understand why he would say such a thing. As far as she was aware no one in the pack did anything to interact with him, because why would they? He had done nothing but caused pain to their pack members, why would any of them wish to be near him in the first place? The mention that she refused to give him the medallions was answered with a swift soft retort.
Raven knew nothing about Frost at the time. It hadn't even been a full year when he inquired about that treasured family heirloom. Being the daughter of an Alpha one would think she would have been taught to understand why it was so very significant. Yet sadly they deemed her unworthy to know, all because she was diseased with that dreaded feralness. She knew she was related to the Talbot's, within her species, lore had it, they were the original werewolf. There wasn't much else she knew about her family. She was the only feral wolf, but other than that she was at a complete loss. She didn't want to give someone the one thing she had left that traced her back to that particular pack. They were all dead and it was her fault. Not once did she ever feel like she belonged with them, and if she lost that family heirloom, then she would have no other connection to them again. Raven couldn't give that up, but at the same time she didn't feel like she deserved to have it. Giving it to her mate ensured two things: first being that she would be around without owning it, and second so that it belonged to someone that deserved it and held the qualities of an Alpha. Munching on her cookie she remained silent, speaking once he was done.
Was it a jab? Of course it was. Anyone that knew her would think she hardly had any spine. The young woman was hardly one that would make a smart-alack remark. She was far too meek to even consider such a thing. However, when it came to Frost she could hardly stay the way she was. There was no reason for Frost to help her. She would lie or even play around to come up with one. He would help her or he wouldn't. With a shrug of her shoulders she revealed to him what she occurred when she Fate gave her these amulets.
It was completely accidental that she had three of them now. The two other ones just came into her life. Why she didn't know, but if this was going to become a repetitive pattern then she needed to know what they were. The mention of helping her for a price was answered with a very long pause as she mulled over the idea. Telling her he had a price didn't mean she had to accept it. He could easily announce what he had in mind and she could get up and walk away. It was simple. Hearing the price wasn't going to cost her anything. A bit uncomfortable she crossed her arms defiantly, keeping her eyes locked on his, her shoulders moving back in a more alert positon, requesting just what it was he had in his scheming mind.
