East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

It does not matter if a person deserves to die or not. To kill another was something she understood was wrong. It did not matter if she was feral at the time. It did not matter if she was rational at the time. It is true the mistreatment she had endured was wrong. It was made clear to her at a young age that she was different from others and that with her disability she was meant to be treated in such a despicable manner. Even though she knew it was wrong. Yet no one had helped her see otherwise. Not a living soul spoke up on her behalf or attempted to stop the maltreatment. All she could do was simply accept it. Though there was a small part of her that was having a difficult time with squashing those voices inside her head. All the pain and anger she felt was slowly coiling around her heart, it was slowly chopping away the struggle of submitting every single day. Perhaps her feral mind could be seen as a blessing. It was a way for her to escape, a route to channel of her aggression and anger, a defense mechanism to protect her from anyone that was considered a threat. She snapped one night. Instead of suffering the pain and horror she brought others a terrifying and agonizing fate and deep down...she was proud. There was a reason why she went out and got herself that mark along her left side- a testament to what she was and what she would become from the aftermath.

However, what ever since of bravery that was swarming up inside her simply faded away. There was no need to protect herself in such a state. She was alone, isolated, and she would end up okay. She was used to solitude and no one approaching her. Though it could be said she was lucky to run into those that she did here within this new town. She had her sister pack. If they had not set her up here then she wouldn't have made the friends she had right now. Always she would be thankful for the ones she surrounded herself with and she only hoped she did nothing to ruin it. Raven had no desire to return to her self-isolated livelihood. However, right now she couldn't really think on her livelihood. With the tea going down the wrong pipe she had begun to choke within the booth at the café. She hadn't meant to swallow the tea down her windpipe, but she was taken aback and shocked by Alexis' question. Coughing and attempting to breathe again, blue-grey eyes locked on Alexis as she began to make a scene. As soon as Raven began to recover she would bring one hand him and gesture towards the vixen to sit back down, her own head lowered not liking the wide-eyed stares they were receiving from others. As soon as the young girl in front of her sat down, and Raven regained her breathing, she would give the girl a timid smile. She was completely unsure with what Tobi thought or how he felt and she had no idea what the future would hold, all she knew, was that she had Alexis as a friend and right now she wanted to do nothing more than appease her. She wasn't sure if her answer would be suffice, but she hoped Alexis would understand that she truly cared for the young woman and that she would never want to leave her behind. Alexis of all people could understand her far more than anyone else ever could- they were disowned by their parents and suffered abuse and had no one in the pack to rely on. It was Alexis next comment that made her shake her head, lowering it as she attempted to hide her cheeks as they blushed.

"Perhaps, but one cannot know if the question is not asked...and I am not willing to ask the question in fear of what that answer might be. Now then...what would you like to do when you finish your coffee and begal?"

Her words were soft and gentle not wishing to allow Alexis to depict what her emotions were to the idea if Tobi liked her or not. She was ready to move off the topic and should Alexis desire to stay on the topic at hand...she will do so for her benefit.

I'd Rather Feel Pain Then Nothing At All
