East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

He headed toward the Inner Sanctum, not sure what he was gonna find there. He just knew he needed to get out of the house. He was losing his mind with boredom. The witch he took in, Sorcha, was off doing her own thing. She was investigating the spell that had been put on her that sapped her magic and the witches she talked to seemed uncomfortable with a vampire watching while they talked so he dismissed himself and started staying home, letting her go by herself. She seemed to get more information out of them that way. But that left him with little to nothing to do himself. He was never one to enjoy sitting on the couch watching tv or browsing the internet. These things were still considered new to him and he wasn't fully comfortable with them yet. Technology had changed so much. He was learned to adapt to the new world as it changed but he liked to do it at his own pace.

He put on some faded jeans and a white T-shirt, just wanting to blend in today as he struck out on a walk through town. The sun was shining bright his afternoon but it didn't bother him. The air was cool and there was a nice breeze. The leaves were starting to change colors. He smiled as he glanced up at the trees while walking. He had his hands in his pockets and his broad shoulders slouched forward to make him blend in more with the other pedestrians. He knew better than to draw attention to himself. Hunters already found him an oddity cause he could walk in the daylight. To them, that made him more of a threat. He couldn't remember the last time he'd killed a human and yet his age and power seemed to draw attention. He wondered sometimes how the Hunters got their information. Did they have a file with his name on it? Could he break in and burn it? Seemed like a fair idea.

He stopped when he got to the doors of Inner Sanctum. Usually he liked to hang out and sip some coffee while reading the paper. His gaze swept the room as he stepped inside, always aware of his surroundings and the people on it. When nothing raised any red flags, he took a seat at a small couch near the back. The waitress brought his usual order and he reached for a paper, though he rarely actually read the paper. Mostly he used it as a cover so he could people watch.
