Oh won't this be a fun disaster between them. Both weres, both unaware of what might be considered "proper" etiquette when interacting with a strange Were. Still, this stranger may have the advantage in the situation if she's part of a pack as Harper has never had that connection, at least not formally nor in a healthy manner. She ran loosely with a group for a bit, though that was more of necessity. They had never been close or bothered to develop bonds, ties, friendships even. It had seemed so unnecessary since they all wanted to go in their own directions as quickly as the cashflow problem was solved (which was spurred forward on discovering Harper's little trick). Well, just means it'll make everything that much more fun, right? Who doesn't love a bit of confusion! Harper was aware that tensing and reacting the way she had probably only confirmed any suspicions someone may have and that she really ought to have tried harder to remain relaxed or to even play it off as nothing. However, it was too little too late now and she was going to have to feel the situation out from here. Of course, whatever scenarios she had running through her head were abruptly interrupted at the other's exclamation, zeroing all possible 'I think I can do X to get out of this' out the window. Now she really was in new territory. Who would have thought she would have stumbled on another were by complete chance during her scavenging? Not this girl. "Coyote, huh?" Harper grinned, finally becoming aware they were almost eye-to-eye. That was fun. Harper was, what, maybe like one or two inches taller? She was almost never eye to eye with girls, usually having to look down. Of course, if people were going to try and guess someone's Were-creature-thing by their height, well, are they in for a surprise! Harper might be tall as a person but she was the exact opposite when she transformed. "I don't know why that surprises me. I figured you were like... I don't know. Don't coyotes - Well, you know what, never mind that. I've seen them in the cities before. Like outskirts or something. OH - not to say like, that I expect you to be like 'ew city!' or something. I mean, like, I don't really hang out with many... uh..." Harper's rambling was briefly halted as someone walked by, the stranger giving her an odd look as she rocked forward onto her toes making herself momentarily taller before she rocked backwards just as quickly, hands shoved in her pockets. "Like us, ya know? Oh hey, I'm like starved. You know a good place to grab something to eat?" Harper, not really happy to stand still for too long, had started to shuffle backwards, twitching her shoulders in an very weird sort of "follow me" motion that was soon joined by her head motioning toward the space behind her, a crooked grin on her lips as she did so. Also, if they were moving, they wouldn't be standing around the scene of Harper's little break in. "Come on, let's get something to eat!" Deciding that her awkward motions were ineffective, she suddenly skipped forward to close the distance between them so she could sling her arm over the woman's shoulder as she pushed forward in the opposite direction she had originally been drifting, now dragging her new 'buddy' with her, laughing as she did so. Some people may have a thing about personal space - Harper, as someone may begin putting together, hadn't much care about it. Care required forethought and she just didn't have time for that. There was fun to be had! |
