A soft sigh left the seemingly young girl's lips as she stood upon the edge of the manicured grass. A cobblestone path was in front of her and, upon it, was what Aislinn had thought might be the end of a seemingly fruitless quest. How dreadfully disappointed she was. The pale blue of her irises watched as the large Draft horse stepped forward at the bidding of his owner, pulling a quaint carriage behind him, presently filled with a couple that seemed incapable of keeping their hands off of each other. At the very least, she supposed the little girl whose word had led her here in the first place had gotten the major details right. It was a large white horse. Just not quite the large white one she was looking for. The sound of her ankle boot tapping at her irritation was muffled by the grass under her feet as she stared, with arms crossed over her white sweater dress, at the receding carriage. What was perhaps worse than the fact that her search within the ridiculously large city seemed to never end, was the realization that Aislinn didn't exactly know where she was. While being lost was, in itself, hardly a concern for the unicorn, Aislinn had found herself taking a liking to the luxuries of the modern world. Her temporary residence held comforts entirely new to the woman - such as running hot water. Ah, how luxurious a bath sounded tonight! One she might be inclined to soak within for at least an hour, what with her Dark Hunter companion surely gone to spend the evening lusting over a married man like the blatant heathen he was.
It was with this very thought in mind that Aislinn stepped onto the pathway that wound its way through the park she had found herself in. Someone, she was sure, would know their way back to the posh Northern part of town. Her gaze skirted with discerning curiosity over each of the park's inhabitants as she passed them - past the were-couple with a baby stroller, the fae walking a small dog, and the human teens ignoring their oncoming curfew. Little of them intrigued her, nor were they worth the unicorn's time. In fact, she hardly paused until the pale blue of her gaze fell upon what she was certain were the brightest colored footwear she had seen to date. Abruptly, Aislinn paused within her step, her aquamarine gaze traveling up the man's physique in slow contemplation. He was...rather...unmentionable in his athletic shorts and loose t-shirt. In fact, were it not for his awful sneakers, Aislinn was unlikely to have noticed him at all. Still....beneath those windswept locks of dark hair, he had a handsome enough face, she supposed. Perhaps he would do. For tonight, at the very least. Her chin rose slightly in a glimpse of dignified confidence as the ancient Celtic Queen approached him.
