East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Despite the were-steed's determination to be free from the domestication of equines, even Alexander could see within him those animalistic instincts that so reacted to his ginger caress, even if it was but a fleeting moment. It certainly made the stallion vastly more of a challenge then perhaps any horse he had ever tamed to date, and yet, Alexander abruptly stopped his train of thought from progressing any further. He couldn't allow himself to forget that beneath that equestrian facade, the beast was still very much a man. It was perhaps that one distinct feature he disliked most about weres - they preyed upon human's innate interest in animals. A small frown settled upon his masculine features as he fetched another apple from the fridge, biting into the crisp skin. Unfortunately for Alexander, he hardly had any further patrons to distract himself from dwelling upon the magnificent steed though he hadn't expected that the were-horse might not yet be done with his harassment of the Dark Hunter. The sound of hooves at his door brought the hunter nonchalantly towards the front of his establishment, stepping out into the cool autumn air with particularly little concern. His blue-green eyes landed upon the ivory creature as he took another bite of the apple settled within his hand.

He knew the creature would hardly be pleased to note he was outsmarted, after all having the mental capacity of a human gave the stallion a particularly stubborn capability. Alexander was hardly daunted by the fashion at which the horse towered over him, merely staring upwards at the creature with a look of only vague interest. He remained perfectly still as the horse saw fit to move, his head shifting ever so slightly to keep the creature at least within the periphery, centuries of training hardly allowed him to abandon all of his distrust and instincts. The affectionate gesture caught Alexander off guard, causing his gaze to shift ever so slightly toward the stallion with a glimpse of suspicion. The creature seemed all too steadfast in his dislike of Alexander's touch before, he hardly expected for the stallion to change his mind so easily. The lifting of the creatures leg across his body only further succeeded to confirm the man's skepticism. His eyebrows furrowed, a small scowl crossing his masculine features as he drew his apple closer towards his chest, knowing all too well what the stallion's intention was. There was a soft begrudging sigh to his lips as the horse quite literally yanked the fruit from his hand, immediately dancing from Alexander's grasp. His arm folded over his chest, his eyes narrowing ever so slightly as he watched the fellow's victory dance around his stoic form.

The Dark Hunter watched the steed pause his lap just out of Alexander's immediate reach, the grinding of his hoof upon the cobble stone was entirely ignored by the Macedonian man, even though he knew all too well what such body language meant. After being delivered such a defeat over the apple, the conqueror was hardly willing to give into the horse now. Alexander was perhaps equally as stubborn, his tactician mind hardly allowed him to give up easily. Instead he stayed steadfast within his spot, hardly willing to be moved by the creature. His blue-green eyes followed the horse as he moved up the street, watching his form pivot to place him head on. Alexander's gaze quickly caught the sudden tautness of the steed's muscles only moments before the beast lunged forward, galloping down the street with the intent to move the Dark Hunter. Unfortunately for the ivory horse, barreling war horses was hardly something he was unfamiliar with. In fact, for one brief moment it almost felt as if he had returned to the glory days that he no doubt belonged in. His posture shifted ever so slightly, quite clearly preparing to play the game placed out before him. He stood still, letting the horse close in on him, waiting until exactly the last moment before moving.

If there was any one thing that could be said about Dark Hunters it was that they held no shortage of weapons. Though Alexander often chose not to wear one at his person at all, the cafe had a plethora of things he'd collected over the years. Most were upstairs within his loft but the occasional few were nestled in niches of the shop, disguised and overlooked by most. Just outside of the door frame, two round circular poles created an impromptu border, the spears weight was almost familiar within his hand as he yanked one from the frame in a fashion that caused it to give with surprising ease. It was one smooth battle worn motion, his bodice twisting in a circle, the pole sweeping low as Frost bared down on him, causing Alexander to step just barely to the side. He hardly cared of the spear's impact with the horse's lower legs broken the wooden pole, having no real attachment to it. Instead his entire interest rested in the stallion's reaction, his goal primarily to trip the egotistical creature. After all, Alexander was no mere Barista, if there was anything he could deal with, it was a headstrong war horse.
